For anyone interested, an update from a good friend who lives on St. John. He said, all the beaches are open and most of the restaurants. Some hotels still down, but they're ready for tourists!

Ask him about Ms. Lucy's on the eastern side of the island, please. Love that place.

You need a quick beach fix fly Allegiant from Asheville to St Pete. I recommend Treasure Island. Quite a few well kept Mom and Pop Motels left.

For me, the wife, and our 11 year old boy. Needs to be east coast. Thinking BVI or Dominican Republic. We are not fans of the giant resorts, but will consider.
