My daughter’s 3rd grade team finally won their first game in three seasons. The game was tied heading into the fourth quarter and my daughter was assigned to cover the other team’s best player. She shut her down and they won by 2.

My daughter is now a starter on the middle school team and she had 13 rebounds (9 in the first half) in a game last week.

My granddaughter's team lost in the North Carolina AAA semi-final game of the final four. Her high school career is over, but she accepted the offer to play for Randolph-Macon College and got a hefty Presidential Scholarship. She had three other offers but liked this one best.

My sophomore middle blocker played his first varsity game today and he fit right in.

My son's JV season went about as expected. They were about .500 (i think). He was 4th on attack as he had a sophomore ahead of him, but saw decent playing time. He had 5 or 6 goals and a few assists. Stick is ridiculous, needs to work on the "killer instinct".

Daughter skipped club season heading into senior year of volleyball, and is working at the gymnastics center she went to as a kid, and refs beach VB at Sharkeys every Friday night.

This fall, we'll report on two volleyball players.
