Why even make this post.

Yes, he's struggled. Against one of the best defenses in the nation. On the road.

This is still a winnable game. If he wins it, nobody's going to be griping on this being a poor performance.

The strongest steel is forged from the hottest fire. He'll be better for having played this game, against a great defense, down the road.
 
I like AJ, BUT, he looks like a 8th grader out there... Woefully small...
And how the hell did espn rank him as the 15th best dual threat qb? AJ is not a running qb, no speed or running instinct.
 
Hunt is still the best option this team has to win this year.

RF made all the relevant counterpoints. True frosh, he will get bulkier and stronger with time in the system. Disagree about his instinct. Kid has very solid skills and throwing ability to overcome any current lack of size. He has managed games well and the offense clearly flows better with him than "bigger" Hunt (even excepting offensive improvement due to Lester move).
 
If AJ was exposed tonight, what happens to Hunt against Louisville?
 
AJ can keep the position warm for Alin Edouard or Sonny Abramson...
 
I expected a 'lil more, but I'm not entirely shocked to see this.
 
IT WOULD NOT MATTER WHAT QB IS OUT THERE. Everything is either covered or the line is getting blown up, what do you want him to do? Receivers dropped balls last drive.

Can AJ beat anyone with his running? And it's not like he has a Dree Brees like arm...

The offensive line including Hickey was exposed in this game, they haven't done even a decent job in blocking for any kind of plays.

Yes I do, I have been at every home game and watched every game. Trying to grade Long with his performance tonight and how it correlates to the future is asinine. I didn't comment on the offense, I commented on the QB. You could put Nassib out there I dont care wouldn't have mattered. It is the kids 2nd start, in the toughest place to play in the country, with an offensive coordinator using someone elses playbook, and against a top 10 defense in the country. Did our offense suck tonight, yupp. Nothing more than that.
