Hunt done for season, Broyld and Estime out for Pitt

I put him behind West, Ishmael, Lewis, and Estime, so okay, he's my #5. Reliability plays into my rankings as well and frankly, he is dinged up so much that it's hard to really rely on him. How can you be highly ranked if you can't be on the field?:noidea:

Regardless, even if he is one of our top WRs, that's like making the podium in race-walking: you're the fastest among those people who can't run.

Fair enough, I just couldnt figure out the 5 ahead of him. Now I think you see there aren't 5 better than him even if you put him at 5th... I don't agree with it but I see your reasoning. For me I think the top 4 guys are fairly equal: Broyld, Estime, West, and Ishmael. Quite honestly with the way our QBs have been along with our O-Line providing not much time I dont think its fair to use our receivers in that analogy. I think they are average, not poor, or great. Now with Estime and Broyld out they are below average.

He's our best WR once he has the ball in his hands. Problem is, it's a 50/50 proposition for him to actually catch the ball and always has been. I've been really disappointed at his lack of progression in consistently catching the ball.

I also think people rag on West, Ish, and Lewis for being something they're not - speedsters. They are all very competent possession receivers that are often forced to play in a deep threat role because we lack a deep threat. That isn't their fault. That's the staff's fault for not recruiting enough complementary deep threat/speedster types. Every team needs competent possession receivers.

What HCSS why did Estime play against Clemson. I mean he was barely used and now we wasted a year of eligibility for a game we knew was an L before the year.

I really hope SUFB and Estime appeal for that medical redshirt anyway just to see if the NCAA actually cares about its student athletes.
We could have beat Clemson. They were pretty beatable and should never be considered a loss before the year. I get what your saying though, if you play em, use em!

he wasnt barely used. he played almost every snap until he got hurt. his career is one punt return and a dozen dropped passes. he needs to work on his hands and his route running.
Hard to tell what kind of receiver he could really be…..when he was healthy, Hunt kept missing him and he was wide open. Made a nice TD catch early in the season. He is only a sophomore…too early to look at his career in the negative

Please name one occasion when Broyld has ever done anything with the ball in his hands? Even better...can I see one TD in 3 years before we call him a play maker? West is not a "playmaker" in my opinion but compared to Broyld he looks like Larry Fitzgerald. Basically all any offensive discussion proves is that our offense has been atrocious the past 2 seasons. So bad that stats cant begin to illustrate how bad it really has been.
