Class of 2015 OLB Shyheim (Shy) Cullen (MA) Signed LOI

Shy is going to the BC game this week. Unfortunately our daughter is taking him and I won't be able to attend. I was looking on line and this is still confusing to me... Until December 1 st there is still no contact between shy and staff off campus except by phone and online initiaed by shy correct... So being at Bc shy isn't allowed to say hello to the coaching staff correct?
Call the staff and ask

Tomorrow is a sad day. The end of the football career of so many kids. 1,100,000 highschool kids played this year. 310,000 senior football players will graduate. Only 6.5 % will play football in the ncaa next year. This weekend of those 20,000 kids from 4 years ago 15800 will be ncaa football seniors and except for 1.6 % that will go on to play in the NFL (300) this will be the end of their football career also. Of 1.1 million kids 300 will make this their life...only half of them will make it past year 4 in the NFL. This week is the saddest week in all of football. Yes their will be a few bowl games and senior bowls etc... But the vast majority of kids will never put on the pads again after tomorrow. The past graduates will come to the field to watch their old team play and dream of the days they played. The seniors that were injured will know this it they will never take the field again. Thanksgiving is a day to give thanks but for football players everywhere it is the end of their dreams.
My son is lucky enough to be in that 6.5 percent. He may not reliaze today how lucky he is and he may never. He will cry tomorrow with his buddies he has played with his whole life but he won't cry like the kids who won't play agian.
So tomorrow if your heading to a game or going to the last game of the season or playoff game... Cheer a little harder for the kids. For most of them thanksgiving week is the week their dreams die.

It's something so few people think about. It's even more overlooked for those who never put on a jersey in the first place.

3 hours till game time... Snow bowl to end senior year

Video isn't up yet... The game was a battle the snow slowed the run I think shy only had like 40 yards rushing with a 14 yard reception... But he was back at middle due to another injury. He had some where around 15 tackles... They run a double wing so no sacks but 4 or 5 tfl. The best part of the game was the final 3 minutes lowell scored early and converted the extra point. Haverhill scored to start the second half but wasn't able to pick up the extra point.8 to 6 and a penalty and a pass put Haverhill right on the goal line and I mean on the line not the 1. 1 st and goal. Shy makes 3 tackles of the 4 plays and Nic makes the other to force the turnover on downs. But there is 155 left on the clock and lowell has to get out of the end zone Haverhill has 3 time outs left. A saftey ties it if the make a mistake. The QB keeps it and barely makes it back to the line 2 downs in a row. There is 125 left 3 td and ten still standing in the end zone ... Shy takes the hand off and throws a 15 yard pass to Nic. 1 st down and Haverhill is out of time outs... Amazing. This was a thanksgiving day game legends are made of... Snow cold 4 downs on the line stopped the pass by shy to nic to seal it...it's the way every football player imagines their last game win going.

Pretty much what I expected.:D

Highlights are done...again a few plays on their may not be highlight reel plays if we were putting one out to be recruited...but he has his school so this year was more about plays that i liked or just made me laugh.

So for the last time in his high school career here is the 2014 highlights

Shy got creamed on that jump pass. Heck of a way to close out the game though, with shy as the hero.

Lol he was complaining about how sore he was from that hit. Said he is happy his offensive career is over and looking forward to just fishing out those hits. But yes to be able to throw your first pass in highschool football game to seal the win to your best friend after that goal line stand is all a kid could hope for.

Bam...have Shy text Eric White and ask.

As I told my son, the more someone talks, the more insecure they are. They're trying to compensate and/or get a mental edge. All the greats that smack talked developed that at an early age when overcoming hardships ie Jordan, Moss, etc. The one's that have never questioned whether they were good enough rarely talk.

Eddie was pretty good at backing it up as well.

Yeah I had told him to last night I'm not sure if he did. I had told him to talk to coach Lea on their usual talk but they didn't speak with the holiday. If he gets in touch great if not I told him stay clear... Don't need BC making problems

Looks like the open period for recruiting has started the coaches will be out to the house this week... My wife is setting up our chore and cleaning list already

If you really want Shy to sign that LOI we just need to get these gutters cleaned...

Of course in just thinking about it, I'm sure it's some kind of NCAA violation
