2015 Schedule Guess Thread

nc state 's last non conference game was finalized for 9/12 so there out as possible opponent on 9/12. Leaving FSU, Wake, BC and us for games on that date figure 1 Friday night and 1 Saturday. Miami is still open that date but there 99% either playing fcs game or @ FAU on 9/12

at fsu week 2 would suck we need some probable chance wins out of gate

We are going to get a bye week 2 if its not @FSU. The ACC won't give us BC week 2 and we have a full schedule so we can't play Miami.

We aren't most likely getting Wake week 2 because BC is our season finale and we would be playing home games the first 4 weeks which wouldn't be good for attendance.

While I don't like the bye week 2 it would be our own fault if it ends up that way.

would be complete crap for another week 2bye and idiotic to play fsu and Lsu first 4 weeks of season

fsu playing them week 2 isn't so bad since they will be breaking in a bunch of offensive guys

1% chance we have a bye week 2
I would say its higher than 1%. We aren't playing BC week 2 they are our Thanksgiving week opponent. We have 12 games scheduled so we can't play Miami so that is crossed off.
If we play Wake week 2 our schedule would be a lot of home games to start the year and the ACC wouldn't be able to have us finish the year with Pitt/BC as we would have 4 of 5 ACC games on the road in the middle.
We pretty much need our week 2 opponent to be @FSU or we would have to move an OOC game to week 2.

I think its going to be fsu but if not we move central Michigan up a week, no way would acc force us into a week 2 bye again after all the complaining about 10 straight weeks takes a toll etc. Acc has probably already started the 2015 schedule and before giving nc state clearance to finalize eku game they made sure of no byes in week 2 when its a 1 bye year. Byes will be sprinkled from week 4 or 5 theu week 10 with any Thursday conference matchups getting a bye before that game

id put our likely bye between weeks 5 and 8 Pitt as 2nd to last game im not sure is 100% lock with Louisville in the league giving another nortern ish team that we can play in that slot

I love to switch Louisville with Pitt as our 2nd to last game. That way we know our Senior Day would rotate with UL/BC each year.

I hope we don't have a bye week 2 so whatever accomplishes that I would like.

id also be in favor of switching Louisville to 2nd to last at least every other year (when we host BC we play at Louisville 2nd to last when at bc we host either Louisville or Pitt)

I hate, hate having Pitt/BC to end the season. It sucks to have two home games wrapping around T-giving weekend...or two away games in late November outside in the NE. Keep BC as the last game if you must...but move Pitt in mid October.

I think best case is Pitt game moves to early November as the Clemson's of the world wont want to be coming North in November. In a perfect world for a home schedule you have 3 home games in September, 2 in October and 2 in November and that's what I see in 2015. Pitt and BC in November but not back to back in late November with wake and Clemson in October

When do we play tech or the U

We damn well have to go 3-1 in those OOC games or HCSS is getting fired anyway. If we don't get 6 wins total with that 3-1 OOC schedule HCSS is getting fired. That is 3-5 in ACC. We didn't do that this year. I don't care if the whole starting lineup is injured in Week 1 next year, he's gone.

its subject to change as acc wants to go to 3-5-5 system
3-5-5 is my wish if we stay at 14.

3-5-5 for those that don't know means

each team gets 3 annual rivals (for example Cuse gets BC/Pitt and Louisville)
so that leaves 10 other ACC teams
You split them into 5 and 5. So you play 5 home and home over two years. Then you swap and play the other 5 home and home over two years. The huge advantage is you see every team twice over a 4 year period.

Notre Dame is treated separately

It's really dumb. And I wish they would end it. Or at the very least make Pitt come here the next two years (again) to break up the home/away aspect.

It's on Frazier if we get another week 2 bye. Especially next year in a 13 week season.

I'd like to think he had some assurances from the ACC about getting a week 2 game before he ever agreed to an October USF game.

My guess is that no matter what the schedule turns out to be that people will (a) complain about when the bye is, (b) complain about how games are laid out, and (c) proclaim that's its the toughest schedule ever.

Lather, rinse, repat.

here is my guess as of now as I have only projected the schedule for 1st 3 weeks and last 2 weeks:

Friday, September 4th, Rhode Island (id put this at 90% to be Friday night)
Saturday, September 12th, @ Florida State
Saturday, September 19th, Central Michigan
Saturday, September 26th, LSU
Saturday, October 3rd, @NC State
Friday, October 9th, @ South Florida
Saturday, October 17th, Wake Forest
Saturday, October 24th, Bye Week
Saturday, October 31st, Clemson(homecoming)
Saturday, November 7th, @ Virginia
Saturday, November 14th, Pittsburgh(parents weekend)
Saturday, November 21st, @ Louisville
Friday, November 27th, Boston College(were due one of these years to have Friday after thanksgiving game at night)
Where did you get the dates for homecoming and parents weekend? I've been trying to discover them because it's a bitch trying to find a hotel for those weekends.
