I was in grade school at the time and seemingly one of the only Yankee fans. Of all those Mets "fans" back then I can think of only 2 that still followed them post 1992. That 1986 WS was the only time I ever rooted for the Red Sox.

So yeah...I'm starting to get pretty bullish on the Mets and their chances to win it all if they can hold off the Nationals and make it to October.

NO ONE wants to face Harvey/DeGrom/Syndergaard twice in a seven game series.
