Class of 2016 PG Tyus Battle (NJ) Signed LOI

Just an eye test comparison. Malachi seems to like to play on the perimeter and not muck it up inside. Triche was a warrior inside. Could Malachi change? Sure. Will he. I doubt it. Of course, the usual crew will say I'm knocking Malachi. But that's just his game.

I've knocked a few players in the past, one in particular and upset the whole crew. But I'd seriously like to know who you like in regards to the 4 -2016 PG's that we have offered. Also, what are your thoughts of the other 2015 recruits? I personally love Diagne and think he will be a fan favorite right away and I think Murray would be great here. Reminds me of Duke's Jay Williams. Now that's seven guys, you must like one of them right?:) This will show the crew.

Nobody can knock you If its a valid point or statement. Saying that he could change but you doubt it is a valid opinion. I personally got sick of hearing from the same people over and over again, how he cant play D/wont play a min...blah blah blah. All of this is completely irrelevant until the kid puts on the cuse jersey next yr. I personally feel that MR got somewhat bored his sr yr and was thinking bigger picture. If he doesn't adapt quickly-he doesn't play much his fr yr..simple really. Getting back to Battle- I cant help but think happy thoughts of a potential backcourt of Battle and MR...I mean...dang!

My concern about a backcourt of Malachi and Tyus is that pairing could be weak against pressure. Both will need to work on their handle. Joseph is going the play significant minutes no matter what.

Loooove Battle though. He can transcend a "position".

Heard JB told Tyus during the in-home visit he would play 30-35 minutes and would have the ball in his hands

Ball in is hands I can see like Waiters, MCW and Ennis but 30-35 minutes? Doesn't sound like JB to me

That's what I would expect JB to tell all the PG recruits. We have issues at that spot, regardless of what some might say. I just can't figure out why Duke is on his list. They have flat out told him he won't play point. It doesn't make sense.

I get what you're saying about his chances of playing pg at duke, and I hate to say this...but if you want to surround yourself with great talent, play for one of the best coaches of all time and have a VERY good chance at winning a championship, duke makes TONS of sense.

Right. I can't imagine also that any stud PG or ballhandler would be scared off because of what is already here or en route here in terms of PG/ballhandlers. I think it is looking good for Battle.
