Speeded up film...take your cue from the refs. Can a pot bellied 50 year old move his legs and run that fast?

Still think it's an imaginary problem. You can't just speed up the recruit. It's all relative - and our brains are really good a telling when something is artificial. (ie. we don't think "wow super human speed! We think "that's sped up")
I guess you are right I just think every DI grade player has a few plays a game where he just out plays the opposition if its sped up it looks more compelling against other, actual speed films.

This mostly falls to perception mostly because im not sure our brains can fully equate the two separate films and see who the more impressive prospect is. Honestly I'm excited about Eric either way, not really a commentary on him, just the process in general.

The most impressive thing about Dungey, and Womack is they look good now, and play multiple sports. Their upside when they work at football all year long should be outstanding.

Just read some nice stuff about Dungey playing in an Oregon Senior showcase game. It is the Les Schwab Bowl, a historically significant Oregon all-star event. He was game MVP on 14-17 passing with 3 passing TD and 1 rushing TD. Also, his all-star coach had some nice things to say. I think this guy has a chance here.

Sorry i don't know how to link but you can find articles through Google.

This is one.

Found another http://usatodayhss.com/2015/south-ends-norths-recent-streak-with-4221-win-in-les-schwab-bowl

Cheers,
Neil

“We wanted to win and beat the North,” Dungey said. “They were talking smack, so let’s go put points on the board and see what they say after.”

“Obviously he’s a great athlete, but he’s a really good competitor,” Johnson said of Dungey. “Syracuse is lucky to have him.”

His second and third TD passes were really well thrown balls.

I really think he has what it takes to succeed at this level. Fingers crossed here.

They were both great throws. It gives me a little more hopes. Free a redshirt year to polish up, it will almost certainly be a. 3 way QB comp next year with A.J. Womack and Dungey

And Rexy (Rex C) will be an early enrollee with a spring practice under his belt...

Comparing him to recent SU QBs, he has a blend of size and speed we haven't seen in a long time. I like his arm, like his release, looks like he can throw with touch.

That being said, he had a couple bad picks. One might have been where a WR ran the wrong route. I am confident he has the physical tools to be a good BCS level QB. The real question is whether he has the mental skills to handle the position. Can he make the reads, switch into the right plays, make good decisions under duress, etc?

I don't know. But I do know he turned down Yale, Harvard and Air Force to attend Syracuse. That makes one think he might be able to handle the mental part of the QB job pretty well...

I'm pretty sure all but one of the picks were thrown by another QB, just an FYI, in that highlight reel. He was platooning in that all star game and I saw in his stat line he only threw one pick. Not sure which one, of course.

And he was MVP of the All-Star game, if I'm not mistaken.

His INT was the 2nd one where the ball was tipped. LB got under the route and tipped it into the secondary where the safety picked it.

Good. Thanks guys.

The first pick on the film was pretty disturbing. Glad that wasn't Eric. The one Eric threw wasn't nearly as concerning to me...
