Class of 2016 Any news from the hill?

one of these family wish sitches has to work out for us right?
We all would hope. If anybody can sell the family a bag of goods to change those preferences, it's the guy below.

Is UConn a legit threat? It sounds like it will come down to UK/UConn for him -- any chance we can sneak in ?

I'm not Francis but would like to chime in: we've been on Diallo for a long time. He's been a priority recruit, so we are not sneaking in at all. He's been to SU I think three times. If we land Diallo, it would be due to a ton of hard work over the past few years. We have a great chance but he's been opening eyes in a big way the past few weeks.

UConn.:rolling::rolling::rolling::rolling::rolling::rolling:

He has no interest in playing AAC ball.

that's reassuring -- I thought Zagoria just had an article within the last week or 2 saying it was dead even between UK/UConn for him.

Zagoria is very good at his job but he covers a lot of different recruits. He doesn't get everything spot on.

Francis03 any academic concerns with Green? I hate to judge based on social media but he doesn't strike me as a well spoken kid from what I've heard/ read on Twitter and in interviews.

Doesn't show us a lot of love even when we're involved with local recruits. Was at one point geared around local schools. Not so much in the past few. Just my humble opinion as a reader.

UConn fans seem to think Diallo is theirs to lose, with the only threat being UK. Only because he preps in Putnam, CT, which is about 25 miles from Storrs.

That's why I stopped following him closely a few years ago.

I would have to assume that his grades are fine or he wouldn't be able to play at a catholic school with strict academic requirements, like Neumann-Goretti.

diallo going to uconn is a laugh, hes to big of a competitor to be playing in the aac.
Best league or 6th best?
Plus the ACC is THE scoring league.

Ok... recruiting fatigue has set in. I would think these kids could look around and see that collectively they have the ability to participate in something really special by coalescing into a Juggernaut that together with those already on board could mount a serious assault on attaining the goal of procuring one more Syracuse NCAA Basketball championship with Jimmy B.

The Cuse has a tight family atmosphere like no other school and nowhere else will you feel the rush of adrenaline coursing though your veins as your name is called out in front of 34,000 maniacal fans and the thunderous applause echoing through the Dome as it literally shakes from the palpable excitement. And how can they not know that they will be the recipients of the spirit of Pearl bestowing a special aura over the program and the team as they set out upon the path of something very very special

Let's get this done!

This is what I can share so far. All the visitors are having a ball and we couldn't have picked a better weekend to have a bunch of guys visit SU. Thompson's heart is with SU, but playing time and mommy signing off are still concerns here. Green could end things at any moment, but he's the type that loves the attention and the Duke interest is tempting him to hold off for a little bit. Tucker loves SU and a commitment could come at any moment, but like Quade he might want to seek out more attention that the recruiting process brings. On Gillon, basically the same as I said on my pod. If he leaves without committing and visits A&M/OU, we'll end up on the outside looking in like the Mullins situation. The staff is dealing with him personally throughout and giving it their best shot to close it out.

To recap it all. I'll be shocked if we don't land a player or two after this weekend.
Great info as always Francis!! A quick question...if we do land Quade does that help our fight in landing either Bamba or Randolph? From some comments it sounds like this kid could be a good recruiter for the team he joins. Just getting back from traveling and will be catching up on your podcast shortly...as always good stuff and thanks!

You'd have to think so. Guys love playing with a point guard--especially when it's THEIR point guard.

Any recruits spotted at the basketball gala? Or are they not allowed to go to that?
