2016 Mets

I like Gsellman a lot. Lugo should eventually end up in the pen, but these young pitchers have given them a spark.

Of course it goes without saying that Reyes, Cabrera and Cespedes MUST stay healthy down the stretch.

Is Gsellman a legit prospect? I have to be honest I hadn't heard of him until he made his first start.

he might be. Based on people who have seen him, his stuff has made a legit jump this year.

Why can't the Mets develop position players like the way they have developed pitching? I think Sandy's philosophy of drafting high school kids and projecting them has to be questioned. It's sad how little major league positional talent this org has.

Having a manager that seems to hate giving young players a chance doesn't help

Sandy's draft picks have been awful, people questioned the Nimmo pick when he made it, and he hasn't proved anyone wrong. Conforto was suppose to be a big time prospect, I still think he can be, and then look at some of his other picks, guys like Cecchini, who hasn't panned out yet. Also the Dickey trade, Daraud was suppose to be the steal of that trade, he has been a major disappointment.

Yep... I truly hope Terry rides off into the sunset this offseason. I will always be ever grateful to Terry for last year but it's time for someone with new ideas.

I don't blame Terry, to be honest with all the injuries we have had, I think hes done a pretty good job.

He does a lot of spectacularly stupid things

He made some bonehead decisions last season, but it was easy to be distracted by Matt Williams stealing the spotlight with his ineptitude all summer.

This year it's all eyes on Terry.

Matt Williams was special.

The worst Terryism this year might be when he said he had no idea if Brandon Nimmo was faster than Jay Bruce.

I think he was kidding.

Talk about typical Mets fashion. Losing to AJ Cole with Syndergaard on the mound while all 4 teams they are competing against for the Wildcard also lose. Let's not even go into detail about Collins love affair with Robles.

Robles is awful, I hope to never see him pitch again.

Big win last night and the Nats helped out by pushing Scherzer to Monday. I've been down on Bruce and Grandy this year but they've played well as of late.

And they are following it up with a good performance today, I was worried about them coming out flat today, glad to see they are taking care of business.

Wanted to keep his bat in the game.

I mean whatever, this game was like a month ago, but it was the nitnh inning and they were down a run. Need to extend the game.

They are playing much better now.

The game was so long ago, I know Terry does thinks that make you scratch your head, but this team plays for him, the fact that we are a game out considering all the injuries, is quite remarkable.

Heard this stat today: The Mets are 63-36, (.636) when they hit at least one home run. They are 10-30 (.250) when they don't. I suspect all major league teams have a better record when they hit a home run than when they don't but that is an extreme difference.

Rack up another dub for the Mets, plus a Cardinals L today (should have lost yesterday too) and we are tied for the 2nd Wildcard spot... I'll take it

Sorry guys, I'm a STL Cards fan, not Mets, so not happy about the 2 teams being tied for second wild card right now. Sure, go ahead and unlike this post (ha ha). Gotta give props to the Mets though for getting hot at the right time, while the Cardinals seem to just spin their wheels.

Both teams have been riddled with injuries, the cards schedule is brutal, and the Mets schedule is very favorable.
