Hello everyone, my name is Nathan LeClair. I just took over as CEO of Verbal Commits, a college basketball recruiting website. The Syracuse Verbal Commits team page is posted at the top of this forum (thank you for that).

I am a Syracuse native (Liverpool) and check this forum every so often. It's always cool seeing Verbal Commits links on here.

We are brainstorming ideas on how to improve the site, and I wanted to ask your guys's advice on what you would like to see updated, changed, added, etc. Any and all suggestions are welcomed. Thanks!

I think your information and your approach are terrific. I just think you need to smooth out the graphics, and give it a little "zazz" at the top. You need some graphics and a softer, smoother presentation of the data. I would also give less space to the walk-ons, maybe even leave them off, because it makes some of your player lists too wide, top to bottom, relative to the actual talent likely to play in games. I would definitely continue to list guys who transfer or go pro early. That's a great feature of your class lists.

Thanks IthacaMatt! Glad you like the info and approach. It would definitely be a plus for charts, profiles, etc. to be nicer looking, I agree. That's towards the top of our list of things that need improvement.

Someone else here mentioned the walk-ons. I was thinking of possibly adding an option where you can remove the walk-ons from the chart. I will try and have a feature like that implemented.

I'm a big fan of the transfer listings as well. Tracking player movement has been a huge factor of our success. Appreciate the input, thank you!

Or maybe you only listed preferred walk-ons, since sometimes it's a player from the football team, or a guy who is a local kid or a coach's son. Those are interesting, but otherwise I think walk-ons take up too much room on the list. Keep up the great work! Love your site!

Good point; noted. The fact that Syracuse has the most walk-ons listed on any D1 roster at the moment makes the Cuse page extra cluttered.

Really glad you like the site Matt! I appreciate your support.

For every recruit that commits to Kentucky you could include a little Monopoly man with the dollar figure it took to seal the commit.
