    #44

Am I wrong to say that more Cuse basketball fans can name Derrick Coleman's number than any other player's number, if they have been fans since '87? If there is a number for the Orange, it's 44. Jim Brown pointed it in this direction. Its the biggest number.

how hard is it to type "McLeod?" (you know, his actual name)

How hard is it to type the question mark outside of the quotation marks? McLeod is kind of a tough name. McLeod McLeod McLeod. Takes practice.

Will Judah run it back again? (again)

An example of this addition by subtraction was when Jonny Flynn left and the 2009/2010 team did not seem to miss him. But this is a rare example. It is impossible, or at least quite difficult, to predict.

Good point on Benny, except it may just suggest the possible obvious, that his left eye may actually be his dominant eye.

    RIP Robbie Robertson

Another great Danko song is the often-covered, peppy version of Long Black Veil, which I kind of lean toward as my favorite (The) Band song: Of course all of the singers are there in it.

    JJ Starling Transferring to Syracuse

I agree. Having two fast guards is much different than having just one. Its kind of like chess. Much better to have both of your knights, both of your bishops, or even , I suppose, both of your rooks.

I take that back on 1200 vertical back up Gothics, since I tripled it thinking I was looking at 40 meter contours instead of 40 foot contours. So its only 400 feet back up Gothics, so doable. Sorry about that.

    Adirondack High Peaks

You're right, should have looked at a map. And it does look like quite a climb back up Gothics. Maybe 1200 feet from Armstrong col back up to Gothics. And actually Beaver Meadows comes out of that Gothics/Armstrong col.
  18. F

    Adirondack High Peaks

Beaver Meadow would include Upper Wolf Jaw, right? Keep in mind that Armstrong "should" be a part of Gothics, like Pyramid. So, to backtrack will not add up the elevation. 240 feet I believe to go out to Armstrong and come back to Gothics. I haven't been to Pyramid, though, or Sawteeth. I'm...

    Iowa, Iowa St gambling investigation

I think these arguments, on most anything actually, often stem from a defense mechanism. "Let's see, I gamble, so therefore, I should find words to defend it, and therefore feel good about my past and present choices". People will find a way to justify.

Remember JB’s transition game the first 30 years give or take?

Run and gun can be dangerous. A long pass from Gbinije to McCullough "caused" McCullough's college-playing end. This may have slowed Boeheim down. I don't know. Run and gun is exciting, though.

    Alec Baldwin shooting accident

Has it been stated that he was holding the hammer? If you pull back the hammer and you let it slip off your thumb, before engaging the cocked position, it will let the firing pin hit the ammo... (maybe I shouldn't say firing pin, I suppose the hammer takes away the firing pin). You definitely...

Thought the question by Waters about effort was sort of weird

Of course, the fan always reacts to the good play or bad play after it happens. The coach has to play someone that he's not sure will play good or play bad. There is an advantage in the hind sight of the fan. And the fan's perception jumps around in a game-by-game way. Its about momentum, at best.

I dread the Final Four this year.

In 2016, I really feel that Arcidiacono was not right in shoveling the pass to his right side and behind to Kris Jenkins, AND THEN running in front of Kris which totally gave Kris an undefended shot. Illegal, right?

    NCAA Tournament feel good stats

Duke didn't really win that. Wisconsin won that. Lets be truthful, even if the refs give some kind of illusion that we're supposed to forget. In my opinion. Frank and Dekker show.
  33. F

Stone cold lock of the season

But, if they were wearing orange, would they still be 23-9? That is the disconnect that people keep forgetting. People will say that they know the refs will do their part, but then forget it when looking at records.

    Its super sad

In a sport like figure-skating with judges, or a sport like we're talking about here with referees, its hard to tell if there is a double standard, unfair officiating. Agree about the rankings. And of course we're not happy, especially lately, on use of the players. Can't blame the referees on...

    Its super sad

Didn't our current slide start mid-season of our first year in the ACC, after winning our first 25 games? That was a confusing slide that year, and its been confusing ever since. We think we have a competitive team, but we don't. Every year, it seems. I guess certain teams flourish in a...

I'll take that as a no. Really was not clear on this. Oct 8, 2020 The senior member of the Illinois High School Association's sports medicine advisory committee said Thursday that high school basketball might be possible this year if all players wear masks. I can push a lawnmower wearing a...

On JB's imagined favoritism re: Buddy...

Having a deep team and limited minutes per player will help if the players have to wear masks. Will they be wearing masks? Will there be penalties for putting their mask down... Quite the interesting thing if they will be wearing masks. Will there be a standard filtering ability which is required?
