    Buddy: "I'll be back"

Sorry. But the eye test last night was undeniable. He’s not a star. He’s a spot up shooter at best. See you guys in the fall. let’s go mets

    Buddy: "I'll be back"

and he was a far better guard than buddy is.

    Buddy: "I'll be back"

false equivalencies don’t work with me. Nice try.

    Let’s talk Kadary!

Okay. I get it. But why recruit a kid and not play him? He never even got a fair chance.

    Buddy: "I'll be back"

But was I wrong? and please enlighten me on what a star player is
  6. SaltLakeOrange

We shouldn’t care who leaves as long as the staff reloads

maybe. But he’s the best guard we have. Without him is a net negative.

    Buddy: "I'll be back"

how did he do last night?

    Buddy: "I'll be back"

Since 2003 who were better than Buddy Let’s see….and I’ll just do guards to make it easy…. gmac, andy, edelin, mcw, tyler, triche, eric, Flynn, kadary.
  9. SaltLakeOrange

    Let’s talk Kadary!

I think it’s more about him not even getting a chance. It was preordained that he wouldn’t play this year.
  10. SaltLakeOrange

    Let’s talk Kadary!

He wants to start. That is a recognition of his talent level vs the current starter. What’s wrong with that?
  11. SaltLakeOrange

    Buddy: "I'll be back"

Are you his uncle? He wilted. And he missed at least 3 open 3’s. Stars don’t do that.
  12. SaltLakeOrange

    Final thoughts

All we will ever hear is that he didn’t play well in practice. That’s always the party line. “He just isn’t ready”
  13. SaltLakeOrange

    Buddy: "I'll be back"

A star? Sorry but you are wrong. Carmelo was a star. Texas and Kansas did everything they could to stop him and they couldn’t. My god, CJ Fair and Josh Pace and Billy Edelin were better. How about Kris Joseph? Buddy wilted with an injured player guarding him. Buddy is what he is. A spot up...

lol. It’s been there since 1954. Many great times while I was there from 80-84

Ready for a Girard/Richmond statistic that will blow your mind?

Buddy at 35+ is nonsense. But it never hurts to have a dad for a coach. I don’t even think Carmelo Anthony played 35+. If Richmond leaves, we won’t successfully replace him until Buddy graduates.

You are correct on Richmond. Jesse was the difference. JB always talks about how these kids don’t get tired. I guess that’s true until it’s not…

Jesse sitting was the difference. I stand corrected on KR

The one real head scratching play of the night...

The honest truth, the lack of recruiting...

excuses are worthless. Hop leaving matters…

Buddy scored 1000th point last night

Is it okay to like him but think he should not play 35+?
  21. SaltLakeOrange

    Next season

    It’s entirely true.
  22. SaltLakeOrange

    Next season

They were better. But the eye test says, start KR and Jesse in the second half. I wouldn’t of taken them out in the first either. Sometimes JBs tendencies hurt us. They absolutely did last night.
  23. SaltLakeOrange

    Next season

the problem is that he came both halves with a double digit deficit. First half he got us even then JB went back to his starting lineup. Next thing we know we are down 12 with 16 to go. We got it to 6. The lineup with Jesse and KR outplayed the starters by far.
  24. SaltLakeOrange

Ready for a Girard/Richmond statistic that will blow your mind?

He is fine unless pressured. KR handles pressure and make plays. When JG tries to do that he fails.
  25. SaltLakeOrange

Ready for a Girard/Richmond statistic that will blow your mind?

He’s already a competent shooter. He’ll only get better.

But great teams do...We had a week to game a system that got him open looks. And it kinda worked. We got at least 3 open looks last night and missed all three. Stars don’t miss those shots. Maybe next year he doesn’t

I‘ve been saying all along that the way to stop Buddy is to put a lock down defender on him. That’s been true all year and was true last night. And it will be true next year.

Competition is always a good thing! But KR at half speed is a better PG than JGIII at full speed.

Buddy will be who Buddy is. There is nothing he can do to make up for his lack of quickness and inability to beat a person off the dribble. He’ll continue to be a double digit scorer and horrendous defender. He won’t be a star, except in the mind of some of our posters. The bigger issue is...

If that happens, it matters not who we bring in because Joe will start over him. I’m not even sure Kadary starts over Joe given JBs insistence that starters remain starters. But Dasher, Kadary is better than Joe. And the team is much better with him at the point. Without him next year, our...

    Sweet 16/Elite 8 Tickets

They are using 3 venues. We got the smallest. So there are fewer available tix. So the prices are higher. SU also had more requests than tix so we are staying home and watching on TV.

    Does anybody still think Edwards...

It‘s the same kid. There is no magic here. I‘d argue that if he played more earlier he’d would of progressed earlier. JB didn’t see him as part of the solution. That is why he didn’t progress earlier.
