    When The Team Is Better Next Season . . . . . . .

Fair enough regarding Red. As for football, SU could be in the natty and I’d go to bed early. Just not my thing.

    When The Team Is Better Next Season . . . . . . .

I don’t disagree, but I don’t care about SU football. If next season isn’t better than this year are you saying Red needs to go?

I’ll play Devil’s advocate. What if they’re worse. Should we expect the same reflection?

    Red's system

Essentially it is true. They both ran some different “window dressing” quick hitters and sets, but ultimately both relied on winning one on one match-ups.

I agree, but only because when the game got closer, we would have taken the pressure off and reverted to half court zone.

    Day 4 - the reckoning

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere, so I'll bring it up. Is it possible that these kids just want to get away from NYS and the restrictions? The fact that the Men's and Women's team are both losing a plethora of players tells me that this could absolutely be a factor. Whether you agree...

    Just some thoughts..

I’m going to nitpick a bit with Q. He’s been fantastic this year but if he could just develop some confidence in his left hand and not have to pump fake until he can get back to his right hand, he would be unstoppable inside. Again, he’s been great and the least of our concerns. Just an...

I really couldn't be any more disappointed

I fear that every Syracuse game against P5 competition will be akin to a 14 playing a 3 in the NCAA tourney. We will have a shot if we can get hot but we lack athleticism and strength to hang on a consistent level. I’d like nothing more than to be wrong.

**New Commit: 4 Star PF Tyler Lydon**

I think everyone who saw him play in Glens Falls were, largely, unimpressed. However, I don't think he was able to showcase his true game because Pine Plains needed him as a post presence. I suspect that is why he broke out during the AAU season and I think he made a good decision in moving on...

I'm far from an Xs and Os guy

That play is only a counter to the high ball screen. The high ball screen has become every teams go to set. I completely agree that it has made college basketball predictable and ugly. The high hedge prevents the guard from turning the corner, thus negating the high ball screen. The scenario...

    Mcw owes us one...

Sorry about the previous post. My problem with the high ball screen is I don't think we have the right players to run it effectively late in the shot clock. Nova did a nice job of hedging high, and we didn't have a big man that was effective enough (used enough?) that can make them pay for it...
