Philippe Coutinho is an absolute magician

The way it's looking, the title may come down to next week at Anfield... Provided Chelsea doesn't drop stupid points as we're wont to. City without a Toure I can't see getting full points from the remaining fixtures vs. Palace, West Brom, West Ham and an Everton with a fire under them.

    EPL - January Transfer Window

To be fair, Hernandez is the epitome of a classic poacher. With the Mexican squad, he doesn't have the options he would at ManU or a Chelsea/Arsenal/insert team with good attacking midfield here when playing with them. Hell, that may be half the issue with United and his drop in form and from...

    EPL - January Transfer Window

Agreed Chelsea could "use" another striker, and Jose is definitely a master manipulator, but there seems to be something he likes about that group. With Costa, it's not the cockiness I'm concerned about, it's more the aggressive, red card waiting to happen nature that he plays with. It's like...

    EPL - January Transfer Window

Willian has been playing top notch and I don't think there's any way I could rate Schürrle ahead of him at this point. The Andre at the 9 option has been attempted before (1-1 draw @ ManU) and didn't show much of anything. DeBruyne I rate extremely highly and would hate to see him leave. He's...

whose ready for the festive fixtures in EPL?

I'd love to see us pick up some sort of midfielder. A good holder or box to box to give Ramires some blow and as much as I hate to say it to get Lamps off the pitch. Legend as he may be, he has no defensive workrate and its killing us in the middle.

OT: USA Soccer Fans - Tottenham Fires AVB

As a Chelsea supporter, sometimes I still have trouble remembering who we've had... Also, if any of you guys are local, we've recently gone official with the Syracuse chapter of the American Outlaws, the US Soccer supporters group. If you're interested, its the standard meetups for games and...

    Champions League week one

Mata definitely needs to be in there, in the center of the pitch. He's still not 100% though and I don't think that they want to put him in if there's a risk having him go the full 90. Luiz I don't agree with as a holder. Solely for the fact that he's the best CB on the squad. The other...

Good news for US Soccer Fans: Stu Holden

It would be good to see him get some run on the gold cup roster, see where he's at in terms of fitness, etc. Id love to see a full return to form out of him but with injuries like that you never know.

Brek Shea to Stoke pending physical

Well, Fielhaber and Wondo, along with the rest of the team seemed nonexistent. Speaking of Stoke, that was about what I was watching in Canada last night the way they parked the bus. I'm mildly afraid that Stoke won't really know what to do with Shea though, possibly stunt his growth a bit...

    Lampard to Galaxy ?

At 34, he's running out of legs, though with less cup competitions on this side of the pond he'd probably be able to keep going a year or two. This year he's shown flashes of the old Frank, still shoots with the best of them, but you can tell he's a bit tired and worn down. A change of...

How Confident are you with this team (after whatever that was against USF - ignore other thread)

They're young. To me it's less about having these hiccups in December/January. It will be weather they learn from them come the stretch. There's a solid veteran presence in Triche and James that can hold the line if need be, and a bunch of talent around them that can take them where they need to go.

    Spoiler Alert LOTR

At the beginning of ROTK I'm pretty sure the opening scene is the flashback to Deagol/Smeagol which could be what the confusion was about. That flashback just showed how Gollum (Smeagol) came upon the ring and wasn't in continuity with the rest of the films.

Anybody else turning in their man cards tonight?

It's on the DVR. I got hooked mid-season last year. The girlfriend was watching it and I had been fiddling around on the computer through a few episodes and the next thing I knew I was hooked.

    QPR: Unbeaten in 2013!!

Kel, I've got a hunch you'll either be extatic or crying over the Sturridge transfer in a few months. In the solid runs he got at Chelsea (pre Benitez/RDM) he would look like Drogba one day and Torres the next. He's got the potential to be a hell of a player if his consistency pans out, he's...

Good news for US Soccer Fans: Stu Holden

I'd love to see a Gold Cup squad that's being used to get some of the young guns run. We need to see what we've got in the tank. Dolo, Bocanegra, Donovan and Dempsey are all getting up there. (Howard's 31, but he's a keeper, those guys are like Energizer bunnies).

Good news for US Soccer Fans: Stu Holden

It would be great to see an option in the midfield not named Jermaine Jones... but with Klinsmann I don't find that likely. I'm glad to see Stuart back and moving again. He had so much promise when he was healthy. The biggest thing is if he returns to form I dream of a Holden/Bradley midfield...

    QPR: Unbeaten in 2013!!

I don't care if it's QPR or a league 2 side. You don't rotate your entire team out at once. That squad yesterday looked like they hadn't played together at all... and they haven't. Disorganised, mistiming runs, generally . I can see rotation, and it's necessary, but you don't clear your...

    Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd?

Very true, Donnie. Both have their merits and have greatly influenced music as we know it. Just a matter of the cup of tea that day. I mentioned I preferred Zep, but there are some days where putting some Floyd on and listening to an album or two is the perfect cure to the ailment.

    Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd?

I'd go Zeppelin. Superior musicianship, highly underrated late catalog (In Through the Out Door and Physical Graffitti are two extremely solid but never noted albums that showed a distinct change of pace and really showcased the musicianship). I enjoy Floyd a ton, but I can only take so much...

    Steinbrenner or Abramovich?

Di Matteo had the fanbase and the clubhouse support. Basically is seems as through Roman didn't want him to start the season, couldn't fire him since he just won the UCL and waited for the first slip to give him the axe. Real shame, and I feel like he'll be having a heck of a career moving...

Providence board strategy after loss go after Fine and Molestation

Yeah, they emphasize the "O" as a whole. Its nothing that most other fanbases don't do. I remember when I was going to Union College, for hockey games, there were a few tips and cues during the anthem, and we would go back and forth with the RPI fans during it. As you mentioned, pretty harmless.
