Verse isn't from NY. PA Kid. Grant at UB, now Cuse and this kid are good examples though. Grant was somehow a 4 star at 247 (I believe due to Rutgers interest / Dohn) but both were lightly recruited compared to the CBA kids we have in the 2025 class.

I think part of the problem is there has been an undeniable downturn in the amount of P4 level prospects coming out of upstate NY. I know that Fran and his staff have taken a number of upstate prospects in the 2025 class, 3 from CBA alone, but the CBA kids are all regional / national recruits...

If he is exonerated and the person that was shot first hand claims he wasn't there or involved, that does change things for me. So if the staff does their due diligence and they think he is worth the risk, then I'm ok with it. It's on them to manage it and make sure he doesn't become an anchor...

It's not correct. You can't be a composite 5 star without being a 5 star somewhere lol I had the same issue with 247 with their composite rankings trying to track potential increases to our overall ranking for the 2024 class - looks like something wonky going on on their site.

I think it’s important to remember that it’s not illegal to be an a hole. Just because someone hasn’t been found guilty in a court of law, it doesn’t mean I want them anywhere near anything I care about if there’s enough smoke around them.

That’s what has to happen unfortunately. Anyone that watched the spring game could see the talent disparity between the first and second units. Under Fran I’m confident we will not have a program that suffers from quality depth every single season moving forward. And that’s a relief.

Have you watched Davis and CDRW? We cannot put ourselves in a position to have to rely on either one of them. What good is awesome talent if they can’t deliver the damn ball?

Marketing value in that kids look at these recruiting lists, they reference their star grades in their commit announcements on social media, and so on. They want to be in classes with other top commits.

If it comes down to highest bidder - that's always going to be a challenge at this stage in the game.

Gill did show well and Ross is the real deal. Ross is basically the WR version of Willis. And we have Tremble coming in too with OG and Villari already there. Ton of depth and talent at the WR and TE positions now.
