Bleacher Report: Top 25 Hardest CFB Schedules

Ranking College Football's 25 Hardest Schedules for 2017 Cuse comes in at #14. Some praise for the ACC Atlantic Division in the Syracuse write-up. Florida State comes in at #5. The only ACC school in front of Syracuse.

Class of 2018 OLB Nihym Anderson (NJ) Released from Maryland

I saw this kid play live last year. He is an animal. Very very quick for a LB at 6'2 235lbs.

What's Dino Babers' formula for Syracuse recruiting? He's not telling you

Was going to post this. Great article and some great positive news for Cuse. I loved this quote from Babers: “A lot of people say they have a process to recruiting, but they don’t,” Babers said. “We know what we’re looking for, and when we see it, we don’t care whether six people have offered...

Class of 2018 S Evan Stewart (NJ) Verbal to Boston College

Thank you Money. Yes, I completely understand where you are coming from. Heck Rutgers just had a legacy decommit a couple days ago. There are many many teams recruiting him. He is a very good player. Like I said, I know the family pretty well. And I would be extremely surprised if he does...

Class of 2018 S Evan Stewart (NJ) Verbal to Boston College

Yes, they did. No idea about that kid or where he comes from though. With Stewart, I would be extremely extremely shocked if he does not end up at Rutgers.

Class of 2018 S Evan Stewart (NJ) Verbal to Boston College

Wouldn't say they are under the radar? They are a perennial power in NJ high school football. Regarding Stewart, look elsewhere. I know the family. His father played at Rutgers and his son is all Rutgers as well.

The all-inclusive Rutgers dumpster fire thread...

Lol well that's a given. You could also say that about us vs. Clemson and Florida state for the time being though. But what PhatOrange said is right on point! Look at the offers. Listen I'm a fan of both schools. Cuse has so much promise under Babers and I think can get back to a consistent...

The all-inclusive Rutgers dumpster fire thread...

Rutgers is 31 on 24.7 and Cuse is 49 there... any reason for that one? It's like a broken record that every recruiting site has something against Syracuse and inflates Rutgers numbers. Yes, I think Dohn has some Rutgers bias, but EVERY recruiting site? Now with that said... I think Cuse has...

Class of 2018 QB Johnny Langan (NJ) Verbal to BC

I've seen him play multiple times over the past 2 years. He has improved tremendously since taking over for Guarantano in terms of his mechanics. And for those that can't tell from that HUDL film...he is legitimately the size of a D1 linebacker. He's 6'3 and has to be around 225-230, but can...

Class of 2017 LB Tyshon Fogg (MD) Verbal to Rutgers

I was Syracuse undergrad and got my master's from Rutgers. So, I am one of the rare individuals that roots for both programs (Went to college post Big East). But I have a relative that is part of the NJFCA, so I get a lot of good insight regarding NJ recruits.

Class of 2017 LB Tyshon Fogg (MD) Verbal to Rutgers

More often than not, wouldn't the head coach do an in-home with for 2nd highest rated recruit? Especially if he only gets 1 in-home and your staff can have unlimited. Those are the rules, correct?

Class of 2017 CB Harrison Hand (NJ) Transferring from Baylor to Temple

This kid was long considered a Temple lean. I'd love to see Babers take a run at him to finish the class with Rhule now gone. He's the top CB in NJ. Just watched his HUDL tape and it's very impressive :noidea:

    On the bright side

If they win out... it will be nearly impossible to keep out an undefeated power 5 team from the playoff. They would not have to play Stanford in the pac12 championship game either. Obviously winning out is easier said than done. But it's a lot easier to do so in that conference compared to...

    On the bright side

Yeah lol. You're talking about the Ohio state team that went into Oklahoma and ended up taking their starters out of the game in the 4th quarter... Honestly it looks like Rutgers might have played 2 of the 4 playoff teams in the first 5 weeks of the season the way the Washington looked last night.

Kansas - you think we have issues with fans showing up for the game

I actually was at this beatdown when I was visiting family. In their defense, there was actually a decent amount of fans at the game. 44,000? No. Probably 35-40k. It was a torrential downpour for the whole game and it was 40 degrees in early November so everyone went underneath the overhang...

The all-inclusive Rutgers dumpster fire thread...

Agreed. But that's why they were 26 point dogs. I think Rutgers likely ends with 3-4 wins. And Cuse with 5, maybe 6. Rutgers has a long way to go switching from the pro style to the spread. They don't have the personnel for it. Where as DB has the weapons to get this offense rolling a little...

Playing devils advocate... We played Colgate. Rutgers is playing cross country against one of the favorites to win the Pac-12 conference. I wrote that I'm a fan of both schools. This week I'm more of a Cuse fan lol

    Class of 2014 Chad Mavety

He is a family friend of mine. This wasn't a football related injury. There was a serious health issue that arose...so not too funny to be joking about.

I went to both schools. Syracuse undergrad and Rutgers for grad school. I lived in both cities. Downtown New Brunswick is not great. However, the outskirts (more towards the university) are very nice. Rutgers is actually in the process of moving the central focus of the university to Livingston...

Class of 2016 OLB Jonathan Pollock ( FL) DeCommits from Rutgers

He was the #3 TE on the depth chart after the spring in an offense that doesn't use TEs...can't blame this kid

Class of 2017 CB Harrison Hand (NJ) Transferring from Baylor to Temple

Harrison Hand.. Those are his scout rankings. And he was at the opening this weekend. Pulled his hammy when running the 40 so he couldn't participate

Class of 2017 CB Harrison Hand (NJ) Transferring from Baylor to Temple

A DB that was invited to The Opening, the #3 CB in the east and the #1 CB from a state that we should be desperate to get back in to counts as an "absolute stud" to me. I don't care that he is a 3 star from the recruiting services. Watch his HUDL tape. He's very good and he flies!
  25. C

Class of 2017 WR Eddie Lewis (NJ) Portal from Memphis to S. Carolina

I have a feeling this will be good news for Cuse. Rutgers already has 4 or 5 WRs committed. There's just more excitement around the Cuse and Rutgers programs with the HCDB and Ash hires, so I can't see Indiana being the choice. But we will see soon...

Class of 2017 C Owen Drexel (NJ) Verbal to Pitt

I thought schools were turned grey when the prospect no longer has interest in the school? In which case, rutgers being grey means that Drexel is no longer considering them. Thats what I've always thought
