The way that that unfolded from the 9:34 mark of the 3rd (especially offensively) that may have been even worse than kissing your sister. :vomit:

    FSU vs The ACC

I found his passive aggressive/slighting post, especially as an administrator (be better) peculiar as well. Quite interesting. In my view, you were just offering your opinion, right, wrong or indifferent. I didn't interpret any of your post as a matter of fact.

The last 13 NCAA Champs (14 seasons)

From a national championship standpoint, 6 vs. 1, you're 100% correct. However, Syracuse University is the 5th winningest (I'm counting the bogus 101 vacated W's) program in Division 1 college basketball history. UConn currently stands at 23rd. UConn has 6 natties in the past 25 years...

UConn fires Kevin Ollie / hires Danny Hurley

Of course it wouldn't. Just as it didn't for Pitino and Cal and why they sprinted back to the college game. The most significant role in the NBA is dealing and managing the egos of players, etc.

    Maliq Brown in the portal

Unfortunately, this is exactly the camp I'm in nowadays. And, it is, in part, a notable reason why you won't see me giving even a dime to any NIL fund.

    Maliq Brown in the portal

Weak arse kids young adults nowadays. Back in the day, a two year player who has seen significant minutes as he has would be "bring it on" dude you ain't besting me. Nowadays, "when the going gets tough" Gen Z and the like simply take the easy way out and the path of least resistance...all day...

    UCONN….

Only because we prioritized Battle and told Huerter to prep for a year, which he had absolutely no intentions of doing considering his other very solid offers.

    UCONN….

Exactly. It's pretty simple to connect the dots in regards to your point, no matter how difficult it is for some to swallow. UConn has gone from your undesirable ex (Dom Perno years, etc.) to your 'undercover angel midnight fantasy' while SU has aged very ungracefully, especially over the...

It pains me to say this, but Danny Hurley is the best coach in CBB right now

Ha. Probably many of those same "smart" (usual suspects) posters that thought NIL, etc. and its theoretical intention would actually play out, versus some of us others (not as "smart") practically felt otherwise. :)

Greater transparency for fans funding NIL?

It's a complete crock IMO! And, I've paralleled it to being the owner of some multi million dollar business entity where the owner, rather incredulously, get your customers to buy in to paying for your employees raises, promotions, etc. And, just as incredulous, keeping 100% of the financial...

Clemson wants out of the ACC too...(shocker)

Exactly. And, everything in life is relative. So, just as we "had to leave" the Big East for football to "competitively" survive a decade ago, who the hell are we to say to Clemson it's not the same deal and that it's greed vs. survival? Especially, based upon where things are clear as day...

Big East Tournament versus the ACC Tournament

NYC speaks for itself, I mean, it's frigging MSG in the heart of Manhattan, so attempting to compare anything to it is misguided. That said, Charlotte is an excellent venue, with numerous restaurants and bars, etc. Not to mention many of the great steakhouses like Ruth's Chris, Capital Grille...

    NC State

Ha. FWIW, if you go back to my initial reply (post #60) to yours (#56) I implied that it wasn't a sure thing as your post claimed due to all of those bid stealers pulling it off. And, with such an astonishing occurrence for bubble teams that were thought to be in, now Lunardi had them out, so...

    NC State

If I recall correctly, GMac had a legit injury (groin or hamstring) after that BET run/championship that gave us that auto bid. There's a night & day difference between being physically spent, etc. from the 4 games in 4 days/5 games in 5 days versus being legitimately injured.
  24. orangecuse

    NC State

No. It now appears in all probability, that bid stealer, NCST, swapped with UVA. UVA was projected in by most bracketologists prior to all those potential bubble buster teams actually pulling it off in such unprecedented fashion yesterday.

No almost about it, exactly it at 5. Our ACCT record to date is 5-9 since being in the league.
  27. orangecuse

    NC State

Not so sure about that. FWIW, based upon what transpired tonight with State and Oregon being bid stealers, Lunardi now has UVA on the outside looking in. If that's the case, it appears the 4 ACC bids are 3 NC schools and Clemson.

OT / General Interest - Bubble Watch and Tourney Comments - Week of March 11 (Part 1)

FWIW, Lunardi now has UVA out. Really goes to show you and just more proof in the pudding on how weak the ACC was this year when its tournament 3 seed is unlikely to make the Dance.

We all have the capacity to compartmentalize, etc. Whether one does or not depends on how they choose to roll or see fit. One's morality depends upon one's belief system. Interestingly, you (we all here) voluntarily choose to root for a school that has one of its all time greats (on the field)...
  32. orangecuse

    Slick Rick

Well, several of the so called pundits have St. Johns in the Dance. Meanwhile, SU is nowhere in the stratosphere of even the "next four out." So, perhaps, that may answer your question? Additionally, the win against D2 school in Chaminade doesn't count, well, at least not in the NET.

100%! The "football drives the bus" folks weren't wrong as another poster alluded, that's a fact. Unfortunately, what no one had the foresight of knowing, was just how JB was going to operate once we got the ACC invite. His mindset, unflattering comments about the ACC move coincided with his...

    6 W 11 L in acc tournament

There's nothing factual about that statement. Actually, it's about as obvious of one's own opinion as one can be. The Syracuse hoops program is where it is today purely because of its former coach, as well as the stewards of the university reaping what they sowed.

    Filipowski better be suspended
