The reality is that JW’s true test will come next year. If Fran can coach *at all* it will take a heroic effort to keep him. If he shows ability or even potential this coming season, and JW is able to keep him: it’s time to rename the university after him.

I personally thought it was great to have Buddy on the team and I always appreciated him as a player. He was a great player for us. Period. At a time when we didn’t have a ton of great players. Glad he’s getting a chance in the NBA.

It seems to me the defense was disorganized and haphazard at the beginning of the season and then started getting more disruptive (albeit with a lot of gambling), but then the attrition really hamstrung it badly. Seems it is based on energy, pressure (remember we pressed a good deal earlier on)...

Sorry if already mentioned, but in the movie 17 Again, the main character is a HS basketball player and is being recruited by Syracuse. Even includes a view of a Syracuse coach at his game and (to me at least) it is clearly intended to be Mike Hopkins, who was still at cuse when the movie came out.
