This I agree with. Credit to Wildhack for what you said. Nobody can deny with Coach Fran has accomplished in less than a month on campus but he has to coach the team as well. It's called Head Coach not Head Recruiter. So while it looks like a great hire as of now, let's see what we are saying...

It will make absolutely, positively zero difference. We are getting hyped here but it's a big college football world out here. And on top of that you would need maybe a hundred thousand more people to watch to make any noticeable ratings difference.

It also looks much darker on TV than it used to be. My guess is it's the new lighting system that shines it all on the cours but the stands look darker.

Every new head coach "wins" the press conference but Fran did it in a different way with his authenticity. I still have reservations about the nitty gritty stuff - X's and O's, game planning, etc - but it's hard not to get excited after hearing him speak.

This a thousand times! I thought this was a great win. This was the first real measuring stick for Red - restore order in a once one sided series - and he passed. I don't care how they did it. As you said this is a loss last year. First real tangible evidence of a positive change.

Babers' comments really concern me - the timing, honesty, etc. For him to come out and say that ... I don't think that is a good sign for the rest of the season. It's like he can see storms on the horizon and wanted to get out in front of it.

I know being home factored into it but there is a reason many were more confident to beat Clemson than UNC. This game feels high scoring, Shrader being an absolute warrior but UNC just scoring too much.

I'm sure it's been mentioned before but the fact that even on a Homecoming weekend, with a lot of alumni coming in, and it's still a grind to get over 40,000 is pretty surprising.

100 percent agree on your first line. We are all scarred by Syracuse football. Nothing would surprise me. To me this season comes down to Shrader's health. If he starts every remaining game we can have a special year. If he's out for any then we'll struggle to get to 6 or 7.

I think it will be back after the renovations, sort of how the NFL gives cities with new stadiums a Super Bowl. One thing that for certain hurts us though is how the NCAA went away from domes hosting 1st/2nd round sites because they looked so empty on TV. Makes it Regionals or bust for us.

Agree. 2012 was Kentucky's year but 2010 was ours. I am not usually one of those "we would have one" people because so much could happen but that legitimately was not a good Duke team. That was our chance for #2.
