Notre Dame continues its stake at the top and will likely remain there next week as they host Wake Forest this coming Saturday. Meanwhile, Miami's brief fling with the reception of votes is over.
Syracuse's impressive win places them in the group of 4 schools at .500.
BCU and Tulane are still duking it out for the bottom spot.
Of the 17 schools, 9 are now bowl eligible and 2 have been eliminated fromt he bowl chase. That leaves 6 who are still trying to qualify for a bowl. These six are: Syracuse, Miami, Wake Forest, SMU, Baylor and Rice. If eligible, Miami could still declare themselves to be ineligible in hopes of reducing anticipated NCAA measures.
