The foundation of Syracuse recruiting classes have always been Central NY players supplemented with a few key recruits from traditional and non-traditional hotbeds. The fact is Central NY has not been producing the quantity or quality of players as frequently as it had in the past. If I was a D1 coach, central NY would the fifth location I would look for players. Central NY has been passed by Philly and Western NY, Baltimore and LI are light years beyond CNY in talent. Hopefully the tide will turn, but I am not sure when it will.
