Last year there were 9 AQ's and 9 At-Large's

This year there are only 8 AQ's (because the ACC is out).

I'm sure all 5 ACC teams will get in, but last year's bubble team will probably get bumped.

Weird they didn't just bump the At larges to 10 and go with the same formula versus shrinking the pool by 2 teams.

Men’s DI NCAA Tournament to Host Only One Play-In Game in 2017

NCAA Associate Director for Championships and Alliances Anthony Holman wrote to IL Wednesday that no waiver was granted for the ACC to extend the grace period of its NCAA Tournament automatic qualifier and, as a result, there will be only one play-in game for 2017, essentially shrinking the NCAA Tournament field from 18 to 17 teams this May.

Sounds like the Hopkins game will be moved up a week (into the St John's slot) starting next year to avoid a potential conflict with WBB.
