ACC Football Kickoff schedule: What to watch for in Greensboro, N.C. this weekend (PS)

Anyone see what's wrong with this picture?

I don't mind the different jersey's on our guys, since we're introducing new uniforms. May as well show off as many of them as you can. Actually since it appears that this conference takes a Gramercy Riffs approach and only allows two guys (no weapons) per team, I think every team should rep their home & away unis.

I agree with the no orange on ours comment and have a few other problems though:
- If we did go Orange, there would be too many of that color with us, Clemson, Miami, and Virginia. One or two of them should have to change if/when we finally reclaim our namesake color.

- The conference already has too many red and maroon jerseys. Try to tell FSU and BC apart without zooming. There is an opening for green - BC should indulge their Notre Dame Jr. fantasy and switch to green and gold.

- If you're going to make all the players wear khakis, you should probably tell them not to wear sneakers too.

- What is Jamis Winston looking at? Better hold onto your wallets front row.

- With most of Hickey's number covered by the guy next to him, it looks like he's just wearing a tough guy t-shirt. Early indication of gripes we'll have seeing orange print on blue with no white outlining or anything.

- Sloppy setup by the photographer. Guys standing every which way, some arms crossed, others on knees or in pockets, grass cut at weird angle relative to the players, trees not centered in background.

- No Notre Dame players in the picture. Of course if they were in the pic this year, I'd be griping about that. Maybe they could add an insert showing a player and a half?

It's a shame we're about the only school that someone has to think who they are.

Someone should really take Cam aside and quietly remind him that if he wears this color shirt people might be confused as to which ACC team he plays for.

Dabo's response to the schafer question was hilarious.
"He was still mf'ing me over ther"

An Interview With:
CLEMSON
COACH DABO SWINNEY

Q. I saw you and Coach Shafer talking
earlier today and just was curious, had he
apologized after what happened in last year's
game?

DABO SWINNEY: No, he was still MF'g
me over there -- no, it's been a funny story. First of
all, I didn't have a clue. I'm hear at the ballgame
and when the ballgame is over Tim Bourret is
running over to me, we had a little problem during
the game. I'm like, we just won the game, what's
the problem. He told me what happened, so I
addressed the team and I go in our locker room
and Coach Shafer is in the coaches' locker room,
just he and I in there and my son was in there, and
he just -- he was so remorseful and just
apologized, and I said, what did you say, and he
went right back through it verbatim. My son was
over there going -- but I was like, wow, you were
really mad.
But he just -- he's a passionate guy when
you get to know him, and then we saw him at the
ACC meetings and my wife and I, we were going
for a walk, and we were coming out and here
comes this car, and next thing you know the car
stops and the window rolls down and it's
Ms. Shafer, and she's like, we need to take a
picture with y'all because their daughter was mad
at him and wanted to prove that we really like each
other, so we took a picture and had some fun.
He told me something that was interesting,
he said, you know, I spent 22 years in the press
box. He said, in the press box I threw stuff, I took
my shirt off, I did whatever I wanted to do and I
never had to worry about it. Now I'm the head
coach and I'm on the sideline and it's been a long
time. It was a very passionate moment, but we've
actually had a lot of fun in discussing that, and I
think he did a great job last year, and I think he's
going to continue to do a great job.

The most ironic thing is Dabo is a deeply religious guy, and he doesn't swear. I believe he doesn't allow his players to cuss around him either.
