Good luck!
Remember Syracuse... it'll be hard not to.
So AJ...what about that Syracuse tattoo?
I hope he doesn't wind up like Mike Webster.
I wonder if SU's concussion policy to more to protect the school than the player. If anything happens, it's not going to be SU's fault because they had a policy and followed it.
Well, he wasn't loving the Cuse when he was rooting for NC State to blow our doors off...I dont get it? He loved cuse. We wouldnt let him play anymore. Hes moved on. He can still love cuse.
So AJ...what about that Syracuse tattoo?
Cleared by a designated concussion center is all I need to know. SU was playing it ultra-safe and I have alot of mixed emotions about that. Fact is you don't need 3 broken necks to end up like Eric LeGrand. One hit is all it takes so if you really want to put the health of all athletes first and foremost then maybe just dismantle the program and focus on crew instead.
Who has the right? This is an internet opinion forum. This isn't about whether we have the right to comment on anything, it's a place to voice opinions. Mine is that somebody cleared by an actual concussion center should be allowed to play. Instead we are cutting careers short. Yes I know, SU never ever does anything overly PC to err on the side of caution of right? How many universities have banned the kiss-cam now? Oh yeah it's still just us.Come on. This is ridiculous, in all seriousness who here is qualified or has the right to comment on who the Syracuse dr. should qualify or disqualify. I can think of one of top of my head. But but but... He's a family practice doc! Yes, who is certified and qualified to diagnose these type of injuries, is he and industry leader or a world wide expert? I doubt it, is he going to error on the side of caution, probably protecting the best interest of the university and the athlete? Yes, I am sure he is. I don't really see a huge issue with this. THE HORROR! geeze. Move on...

None of us are qualified; all we, as fans, should be asking for is a Neurologist making these calls instead of your local family physician that because diagnosing concussions wasn't in his wheelhouse of expertise, was practicing cover your butt medicine. That was the case last year.
Yeah his reasons are 3 strikes and you're out per university policy. We are letting policy get in the way of good medicine, if he is cleared by a concussion center then SU's policies, while good intentioned, might be missing the mark. It's not like he got cleared by Dr. Nick.OK, so an actual concussion center and you would feel better. Then you carry on that we should dismantle the program and focus on crew if Syracuse continues to play it safe. How do we know what AJ should be doing? I bet the Syracuse Doc has his reasons.
Look people can have opinions one way or another but the University seems to be protecting themselves as well as the athlete, could be a lot worse. Strange most people don't see to care about a kid slipping through the cracks that SHOULD NOT be playing... Keep looking around long enough you will find a doc who will tell you what you want to hear
For me it's let the Docs, athlete, parents and university handle this stuff.
I'd rather be ahead of the curve when it comes to getting sued for concussions than behind it.Yeah his reasons are 3 strikes and you're out per university policy.
