Who is your All-Time Greatest Baseball Player at each position?? I'll start:

P- Walter Johnson
C- Johnny Bench
1b - Lou Gehrig
2b - Rogers Hornsby
SS - Honus Wagner
3b - Alex Rodriguez
RF - Ty Cobb
CF - Willie Mays
LF - Barry Bonds
(and because I couldn't have just one here are some pitching sub categories)
RH SP - Nolan Ryan
LH SP - Sandy Koufax
Relief Pitcher - Mariano Rivera

DH - (ok as an AL fan couldn't help myself - the position was made for him, just a little late) Babe Ruth

Schmidt and Brett were better than A-rod.

Arod not even top 10 3rd basemen.
Back when it was a physical magazine and I subscribed to it, Sports Illustrated had an article bemoaning the fact that third basemen are the least represented position players in the HoF. They kept tying it to the Abbott and Costello routine, asking a question about why are third basemen so rare there, with the answer being, "I don't know. Third Base!"

Agree. I would put Schmidt at 3rd and leaning towards Ted Williams in LF.

Shouldn't ARod also be considered a SS?

Cobb over Ruth, not sure of that one.

No steroid boys.
Yogi.
Ryan lost too many games. R Johnson more unhittable in the modern era.
Ted Williams and Stan the Man. Power and avg.
Mickey mantle if he wasn’t an alcoholic would perhaps be the best ever.
An in shape and dedicated Ruth would’ve been a baseball God.
I know I didn’t do this position for position but these guys just have to be on the team.
Maybe you even bring in an Ozzie Smith or a Brooks Robinson for defensive purposes. Ricky Henderson at leadoff wouldn’t be a bad choice either.

Lots of great players. How can Hank Aaron not even be mentioned. Everyone knows about the 755 Homer's but also lifetime .305 hitter with 240 lifetime stolen bases and never struck out 100 in a season. Also most lifetime RBI's.
