Class of 2014 Another FOGO Commit - Max Parker

Very nice. Based on just this video, he doesn't seem to have DI caliber foot speed. A bit of time in the weight room, and an agility/speed program should unlock his potential.

I love his technique. It seems more 'current' and diverse than our other FO recruit. That said, the comp wasn't stellar.

Heck, the two alternating would be a nice stick and jab combo.

What a crappy field. Love it.

I remember a few years back, when we brought in 3+ FO specialists in Jovan, Harmatuck, and Thompson. We all got a little excited then. Only Thompson became serviceable at the X.

I don't know what age group that is but the Chargers are no joke. I'm sure the jesters are decent quality too

check out the calvert hall clips.. yikes some quick pick ups...

Has that new age, Massa/Fowler style faceoff to him except he likes to stay on his feet in the stance. Get the guy a speed trainer and a mentality to go downhill to the cage and the sky would be the limit.

I'm from Towson area and was told by Hunter Moreland's father that #29 on the Orlando team was the best drawman they had gone up against all year besides Kelly from Calvert hall

Now if he can do that at the D1 level or at least be a 50-50 guy then we're cooking with gas!

Max Parker, F/O, Lake Highland Prep (Fla.) has verbally committed to Syracuse. The 6-foot, 195-pound recruit won 76% of face-offs, setting state records for face-offs won with 342 wins, good for First Team All-Region honors. Parker played for South at the Under Armour Underclass Games and will attend Hotbeds and NHSLS. Also started on the O and D-line in football. He strongly considered Ohio State, Brown and Dartmouth.

Front page of the Orlando Sentinel's sports section today. Great stuff.

THE SPECIAL ONE: Prep's Max Parker is a devourer of souls. He entered the postseason with two goals. Ponte Vedra ignored him and he scored a hat trick powering his team to victory in what was a tight match at points. Parker is a faceoff specialist. He won every faceoff against Ponte Vedra. By the way, he took all 24 faceoffs against Vedra. Parker's faceoff percentage coming into the state playoffs was at 78 percent. Oh and then there's the fact he's going to Syracuse next season. He's not a goal-scoring threat. He's not the one orchestrating the offense, but he can find a way to be all that and more if needed.

323 of 405 fo's. That's 79.7% fo wins for those math challenged. Hope he keeps that mojo when he is wearing Orange.

It ain't mojo winning FOs It clearly wins and loses games. This might be a resurrection of sorts once he gets here. Now its time for Gait to find one for his women.
