I noticed that Gloria Allred is not yet admitted pro hac vice as counsel to this case. For those who aren't lawyers out there, this means that her request to be admitted as counsel to this case because she is not a member of the NY Bar is still pending. Ordinarily, this is a mere formality and people pay $100 fee and it's done immediately. I wonder if the judge has held this up on purpose, and whether he petition will be affected by her grandstanding in the media ? I expect a gag order to be issued imminently in this case.
My point with this is that Allred is not officially their lawyer yet, so she really shouldn't be speaking in the press. I can't believe that her motion to be temporarily admitted hasn't been approved yet. I wonder why there's been a hold up.
I thought today was the day both lawyers were suppose to appear in front of the judge in NYC! Is that true? Who will appear for Bobby and Mikey if not AllGreed?
How is she not "officially" their lawyer? I mean I can have a client engage me without being admitted in whatever state they need help in at the time.
She isn't authorized to appear in court for them yet. Her pro hac vice application for temporary admission in NY is still pending, according to the papers Wang filed on January 31st.

Yeah, but strictly speaking, she shouldn't be mouthing off in the press like she has been, if she isn't authorized to represent them in court yet. It's a little like Fitzgerald commenting on other investigations. But beyond that, her conduct is really unprofessional. She leaks material to the press before she files it in court. Then what she files in court is really not related to the issue that is before them - which is a jurisdictional matter. She really is flailing about. This may work in Los Angeles, with their media whore culture, but if they can keep the case in Syracuse as opposed to NYC (which is the matter pending, that she is trying to jump around), the judges up here will not look kindly on her grandstanding and publicity seeking efforts.
If I recall, the original complaint said that it would be filed. Do we know that it has actually been filed? I don't think she intends on going forward on this at all, if it is venued in Syracuse, or anywhere in central NY.
