Anybody else changing their minds from something probably happened to this is all a lie?

    You are right that he didn't specifically mention in-person interviews with Davis. In his subsequent Q&A (http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/2011/12/da_william_fitzpatrick_reveals.html) when asked about interviewing Davis and possible inconsistencies he said:

    Scott, I do not share your opinion that there are glaring inconsistencies. Mr. Davis, when he tells the whole story, was very consistent as to how he met Mr. Fine. The stories you're referring to are actually different parts of the same, longer story. Furthermore, I would expect some inconsistencies in any witnesses' story when he's trying to describe events that occurred decades earlier.

    This implies but does not explicitly state that he interviewed Davis. However, I'm convinced that he did.

    I really, really do not give a rats arse about what the DA said. He's not prosecuting. Probably has his own agenda with the comments he did make and he should have said nothing because the feds are under a current investigation and who knows what the DA did or didn't know back in 2002 that he should have acting on back then. The DA's opinion in this is meaningless.
