As an AL fan, I still somehow found myself pulling for the Mets. No matter, the better team won and are a credit to baseball. They were simply relentless, a true representation of how the game should be played - a throwback, as it were. Their batters are hitters out of the Rose/Carew/Gwynn mode, as in hit it where it's pitched and it's truly refreshing to see that. I'd want my own son to play like Alex Gordon, and as a guy who spent lots of time as a catcher, I love Salvador Perez even though I couldn't understand anything he said.
