Girardi set up this weekend by saving Betances and Miller in games 2 and 3 of the Baltimore series. Both games were lost late. It was refreshing to see him trot out Capuano yesterday though.

Tex has never been a threat o Ripkin's record. This season has been over the top with him and he is clearly missed

Tex is another guy whose body breaks at the wrong time and often The surprise has been Beltran. Even the pitchers are coming in broken.Ss for the pitchers I believe the longer season has been the reason but then the leagues want the extra games for the $ Money is the bottom line in all entertainment vehicles. Four games left with the Jays. Sweep them and we are back in the discussion for 1st. But the schedule isn't kind. A series against the Mets this late? What? and everyone else on the schedule is still in the Wild Card race to some extent.
