Welcome to National Brown-Bag-It Day!

Packing your lunch for work or school is a great way to make sure you know what you (or your family) is eating during the day. So many healthy foods are easily stored in a bag, lunch box, or thermos for easy transport.

Healthy lunch ideas include: sandwiches with low fat spreads and meats on whole wheat breads, fresh fruit, celery and carrot sticks, and dried fruit or trail mix.

If you have a refrigerator available don't forget healthy foods like low fat yogurt, chicken or tuna salad, or a lettuce salad with dressing on the side.

Nigel Hayes Will Return to Wisconsin for Senior Season (jsonline.com; Potrykus)

Wisconsin coach Greg Gard has reeled in a key recruit for the 2016-'17 season.

Unlike the two players UW signed earlier this spring, however, this prospect has participated in two Final Fours and has 75 starts on his college résumé.

His name: Nigel Hayes.

The versatile forward decided Tuesday to withdraw his name from the 2016 NBA draft and return to UW for his senior season.

"He wants to be the best when he goes," Talaya Davis, Hayes' mother, said by phone Tuesday from Toledo. "He could have went now. But he wants to be the best. That is why he chose to come back."

The decision was expected after Hayes' unremarkable performance at the NBA draft combine earlier this month, which meant he likely would be taken in the second round of the draft, if at all. It also means the Badgers will have all the key players back from the team that reached the Sweet 16 for the third consecutive season.

Melo Still Unsure About Playing in Rio Olympics (TNIAAM; Szuba)

With the Olympics approaching in late summer, it remains unclear just who will represent the United States basketball team in Rio.

We do know that one Syracuse-affiliated person will be there following an incredible post season run. You guessed it, Dion Waiters. Just kidding, it's Jim Boeheim.

As for Carmelo Anthony, he still hasn't made a decision whether or not to represent team USA this summer.

"With this one I'm going to take my time and really think about it, and, you know, a lot has to go into play with this one." Anthony told NBCOlympics.com.

Should 'Melo decide to play in the summer games, he would have a chance to earn his third gold medal in a row for Team USA. Anthony represented the country in the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympics while taking home gold in '08 and '12. If Anthony does decide to play this summer and the team takes home the gold as they're projected to do, he'll be the first player in history on the men's team to take home gold in three different years.

Is This a Real Carrier Dome Renovation Drawing? (TNIAAM; Keeley)

Update 2: SU must've caused a big stink because Turner Construction, who is overseeing the project, also released a statement and the entire Walters Group website is down. Chris Carlson tries to piece together what the heck is going on.

Update 1: Syracuse University has issued a statement on the renderings and plans.

"This information is just not accurate," the statement said. "No final decision has been made regarding the design of the new Dome roof or the timeline for its construction. As we said last week, our next step is to get additional feedback from the campus community to help us refine and finalize this project."

I don't think anyone was saying otherwise, were they? It's pretty understood amongst developers and architects that a rendering is one of many steps along the path. Of course there's still feedback and approval to get. Chill, SU.

Original: Populous is the architectural team that will design the new Carrier Dome roof and renovations but it looks like Walters Group is going to be the contractor. On their site, they've posted a bunch of information, including renderings, for the new and improved Dome.

Gotta say, it's early but this is looking pretty sharp.

Follow 6 Penguin Chicks as They Grow, Learn to Swim, Join Syracuse Zoo Colony (PS; Breidenbach)

When the Syracuse zoo staff first opened the doors for its new colony of Humboldt penguins to dive into the pool, no one wanted to waddle out.

Finally, Phil (from Philly) and Carmen (from San Diego) inched into the public space – a $3.7 million home of carefully designed waterways, heated rocks and tunnels. The other 17 birds followed.

Over the next 11 years, the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse would grow from the original colony of 19 birds to one of the most successful penguin breeding programs in the country.

48 chicks have hatched at the Syracuse zoo.

37 penguins remain in Syracuse. Others have moved to other zoos and aquariums under a careful species survival program that aims to pair the best birds for breeding across the country.

6 penguin chicks hatched this winter and spring in Syracuse.

Soon, the zoo will again open its doors for the new chicks to follow Phil and Carmen's brave footsteps into the colony.

In a series of videos, we will take you on this journey as the new chicks learn to swim, line up for meals and adjust to their environment.

In today's video story, you will meet the chicks:

Estrella hatched in December. Luis and Elmer were born in February. Luz hatched in March along with Salvador and his brother Otto.
