Welcome to International Chocolate Day!

The National Confectioners Association (NCA) celebrates International Chocolate Day on Sept. 13. There's only one way to celebrate chocolate and that is by eating it.

Sure we know that chocolate can be high in calories and apparently it's very bad for dogs. But there are plenty of good reasons to eat chocolate, even if it's not Sept. 13.

Syracuse football notebook: The heat was on in the Carrier Dome - The Juice Online/ (the juice; Salamone)

A little of this, and a little of that as we try to cool off after spending almost five hours (one hour of socializing and four hours watching the game) from Syracuse University’s 62-28 loss to the Louisville Cardinals in the sauna..oops, we mean the Carrier Dome on Friday night.

The Heat Is On

Earlier in the day, a media source reported that the Carrier Dome would finally get air condition as part of the renovation project. It couldn’t come too soon.

The temperature outside of the Carrier Dome was 84 degrees. Inside, it had to be close to 100. Complete dead air.

Hats off to the SU Strength and Conditioning staff for getting the Syracuse players in such top conditioning in the off-season, something that is needed with the fast-paced Dino Babers offense. And certainly, it will play to the Orange’s favor as the season goes on, as the team is in great shape. Not once during the game did a Syracuse player go down with cramps.

Auburn Doubledays attendance continues to trend upward (PS: Kramer)

The Auburn Doubledays are one of only two New York-Penn League franchises to boost attendance for a third-straight season in 2016.

A total of 52,811 fans attended 37 home games at Falcon Park this season, an average of 1,427 per contest. The Doubledays, Class A affiliate of Washington, averaged 1,408 in 2015, 1,240 in 2014 and 1,158 in 2013.

That's an increase of 23.2 percent per game in three seasons under the direction of the current general manager Mike Voutsinas.

Tri-City is the only other NY-P team to improve attendance for three straight seasons.

The team has been for sale for some time. Reportedly asking $2 million. So far, no takers.

Trolling tweet click-bait.

"Get angry! Wildhack took your local broadcasts!"

After watching last Fridays game and seeing him in action, I would award him the title of the outstanding QB in the nation. Anyone who can run that fast and has an arm like a canon is going to be going to the NFL as a #1 draft pick or close to it depending on the needs of the team picking first. Wrap a Very Good team around him and you have a top ten end of season
football program. It will be interesting to see how they finish. We are not that good, yet - obviously, but we'll get there depending on the variables of how recruits perceive the SU program at seasons end, our record, our Dome< (84-100 degrees in the Dome at game time - are you kidding me!) Carrier, a Big air conditioning company got quite a deal. A pittance for one time naming rights without air conditioning?! Are they able to sleep at night? IMO the name should be taken away from them as soon as the new Dome is renovated and air is installed. The NFL game in Phoenix was 100 degrees outside and 73 in, soooo it can be done Carrier. You should be ordered to retrofit the building at no cost in trade for the equity that has been built for you over the year in blood, SWEAT and tears and many great Syracuse wins.
