For You Geography People Out There

1968-1969, played 3 games in Portland, OR in the Far West Classic against Wazzu, AZ St, and Yale.
What about all the games we have played in Rochester, be it the games at the Blue Cross Arena or likely at the U of R back in the dark ages? I believe that Rochester is further north than Syracuse.

Kodak Classic...

Isn't Rochester north of Syracuse? I know SU used to play U of R many years ago, and I thought there was a game there a few years ago against another opponent (St Bonaventure?)

Edit: OK, while I was looking at a map, two others mentioned Rochester.

Good call.

Rochester Blue Cross Arena: 43.1533° N, 77.6106° W

Darn my late lunch, was going to say Rochester.

How about farthest south...Bahamas last year (and east, the rare 2-for)? Hawaii (and west 2-fer)?

SU played in Rochester as defending champions, in 2003-04, against St. Bona.

Puerto Rico...east / south?
Yup. New leader in the clubhouse.

Miami: 25.7617° N, 80.1918° W
Atlantis, Bahamas: 25.0850° N, 77.3278° W
Maui, Hawaii: 20.7984° N, 156.3319° W
Hilo, Hawaii: 19.7071° N, 155.0885° W
San Juan Puerto Rico: 18.4655° N, 66.1057° W

If SU ever plays in the US Virgin Islands, that would take the cake (for south and east):

US Virgin Islands: 18.3358° N, 64.8963° W

The women's team played in the 2013 Paradise Jam in the USVI.

Arctic Circle ... Home game.

According to wmflabs.org,

43°2′37″N 87°55′1″W translates to 43.043611, -87.916944

and

43°2′10″N 76°8′11″W translates to 43.036111, -76.136389

So they are different. Not by much but by enough to bother me.

I did it by hand, it is just a significant digits issue (if I understand you, I think you have a copy/paste error in your message above). They rounded when they went to decimal. For the significant digits shown, they're identical.

I believe you and am impressed you manually converted the minutes and seconds. Heck, I am not even sure if they are called minutes and seconds. Well done.

If we do one for football, it will get more interesting still.

There were two other games in Rochester at BCBS Arena in 1979. We beat Cornell and Villanova on 12-28 and 29.

The Rochester Classic. The year before Nova joined the BE, and the game in which Rollie threw a chair onto the court, a la Bobby Knight. I know. I was there.

Hawaii is south of the Virgin Islands. The Hawaii tournament is played in Lahaina which is about a half dozen miles south of the Maui capital town of Kahului. I guess that a citation for Maui would be the measurement for Kahului as it is the only real city on the Island. BTW, just got back from Maui (Makawao) and fortunately missed the last two games

I don't think you are correct here, at least not if you are talking about the US Virgin Islands. It is pretty close though..,,

US Virgin Islands: 18.3358° N, 64.8963° W

Lahaina: 20.8783° N, 156.6825° W

FYI, the southernmost point of the US is South Point, aka Ka Lane, on the island of Hawaii.

South Point: 18.9136° N, 155.6833° W

Thanks, I assumed that Hawaii is closer to the equator.

Niagara? I am sure we played there at some point. We used to play them all of the time.
