Class of 2015 FS Tyler Green (MD) Verbal to Indiana

"Green, a 2015 prospect, is 6 feet 3 inches and can play defensive back or tight end. The 247Sports Composite considers Green a high three-star recruit, the 35th-best safety nationally and the 14th-best player in Maryland for his class. Before Green committed to Ohio State in June, Maryland was one of several schools that recruited him.
2/47 notes that Green mentioned taking visits to Maryland, Syracuse and Indiana. The Terps had previously vied for his services along with N.C. State – considered a favorite – and others."

Washington D.C. area product Tyler Green decommitted from Ohio State's 2015 recruiting class on Tuesday evening. With spots getting tight in the class, one has to wonder if this wasn't a case of Green making a decision that could ultimately prove in the best interests of both parties.
Prior to his decommitment, Green had been pegged to be solid to the Buckeyes for some time. Green made the announcement official on his Twitter account.
Green grades out as the 529th overall player in the 2015 class. The DeMatha Catholic (Hyattsville, MD) product is the 35th ranked safety in the class and the 14th ranked overall player out of the state of Maryland. Checking in at 6'3, Green has good size for his position. Near by Maryland and West Virginia could both ultimately prove potential landing spots in light of the decommitment.

Would like more insight on whether he had an honest change of heart, or if he got the "cold shoulder" treatment from Meyer in the hopes of opening up another spot.

So wait...other schools have players decommit and it's not just SU? That might be of interest to many of the naysayers on other websites, not that I'm mentioning any names (syracuse.com...cough, cough).

The PS is a joke when it comes to covering recruiting. All they do is regurgitate stuff from what ever flavor of the week recruiting site they decided to poach that week and then "analyze" it.

The article this week on Davis was a joke. How about pointing out that the positives: we identified and landed him early. Rather than: Syracuse can't compete with Alabama for recruits.

Well that's what happens when you have journalists that know nothing about football recruiting, let alone football for that matter, covering the team. At least they stopped trying to give grades to recruits, what a trainwreck that was.

"Syracuse can't compete with Alabama for recruits" - well no sheit Sherlock, I could write an article about that for free. And why would they be focusing their time on covering a kid that decommitted 8 months ago and isn't coming here? Why not work on pounding the ground to find out about the new kids that seem to be popping up daily that we haven't heard about? Oh wait, why ask that, it's easier to just sit on your hands and wait for one of the recruiting services to break a story or come up with a name and either borrow their information or then do an interview.

This just in. Zach Allen still solid on his de-commitment.

So anyone know if we have a shot here and what he is projected as? He was listed as a SS/TE and given the recent interest we have in TE's im sure the staff would be interested if he can play the position (he's a little small at 6'3 180 IMO).
