BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins men’s lacrosse coach Dave Pietramala will miss the Blue Jays’ game today against Syracuse due to an infection in his lower back that surfaced earlier this week. Pietramala’s mobility has been limited in recent days and as he continues his recovery it has been determined that he will not be in attendance when the eighth-ranked Blue Jays (3-2) host the third-ranked Orange (5-0).
Associate head coach Bill Dwan will lead the team in Pietramala’s absence. Dwan is in his 16th year as a member of Pietramala’s staff and his 10th year as the associate head coach. He is a 1991 Johns Hopkins graduate and played for two seasons with Pietramala during his playing career at Homewood.
The Johns Hopkins-Syracuse game is set for a 4 pm faceoff today at Homewood Field. The game will air live on ESPNU.
Trying something different this year did the preview at the beginning of the year and im going to do a mid way one after today's game and then one at the end of the regular season. Will get more in depth after the game.
