i and several others have been asking to sched rutgers forever. i give bc credit getting into talent rich nj

I will say this my source in the AD said we are close to a deal with Vanderbilt.
If that interests anyone.
Anyone else here the same?
This news made me happy. I like the idea of playing an SEC opponent that isn't in the national title discussion annually.

Nothing in stone but I heard 2018 would be here and 2019 would be at Vandy.
Not sure what the delay is. Probably we are going to wait till the last minute.

Most of those schools are afraid of DFB.

A couple of us provided Herm with some available options a couple of years ago. I know there have been discussions with several SEC programs, including Vandy.

Nash Vegas is a town that everyone should experience at least once.

I still can't believe that Lamar Jackson beat FSU that badly. I'm terrified of our road schedule next year.

Its all about when you play a team, if they played in Nov, Fsu would have won that game.

2018 sounds great...2019 not so much as Cuse is already @Maryland

maybe we only have 6 home games that year? if not 19, 23 would make sense as we have no p5 scheduled

Dear Herm we can schedule games more than 2 games for each year already. Jeez we are always one of the last schools to finish scheduling.

he must have pictures of somebody. How did he survive after Dr. Gross left?

I'd love to see that happen, preferably before 2019.

We really need to get Rutgers on the schedule. For longer than 2 years. Would love to know if anyone is working on that. And if not, why not.

Winnable, satisfies the P5 requirement, regional recruiting area, would energize at least one segment of our fanbase (this board).

I have no interest in SU playing Rutgers. Of course I started following SU football in the 70's and RU will always be small time to me. I feel the same as most BIG10 fans..."Uhhhggg, we play Rutgers this week. Going to be boring and a noon game. May as well visit the in-laws this weekend."

Floyd Little is his buddy...not hard to figure this one out

I agree that Herm is sleeping behind the wheel regarding scheduling and would like to see the Cuse play the following teams in the upcoming years:
1) Rutgers (From NJ...Hate RU)
2) Vanderbilt (Hattie B's hot chicken)
3) Navy (Old rival)
4) Buffalo (Upstate NY Trophy)
5) Kansas (Little vs. Sayers)
6) Baylor (Comedy team of Dino & Ruhle)
7) Kentucky (We all hate Cal)
8) Purdue (Great tailgating)
Most are P5 and all are winnable.
