huge

as they say in Brooklyn, "Huge, with a capital Y"

The boys really did us proud tonight. In a game where nothing seemed to work and it was frustration city...they endured and came back with some huge shots and plays to get the win. Really, really proud of this group of kids. Absolutely remarkable really when you think about it. And how about JB... he is an amazing coach.

Don't give up. Don't ever, ever give up.

Truer words were never spoken.

As Cooney goes so does the team...That loose ball rebound was as important as the 3.
I appears that when the team has a poor shooting night, no one wants to shoot. At one point in the last couple of minutes of regulation Cooney received a pass, was partially open but passed it to Richardson who immediately passed it back to Cooney. He passed it on to Gbinije and he immediately passed it back to Cooney and the clock rushed close to 0:01 when someone tossed up a 3 that missed. Tough, tough loss for VT. They played well enough to win but Syracuse found a way to finish it in OT. Much easier to go 9 days or so after a win!!

They never gave up. Ugly game but absolutely enormous for our tourny hopes.

In one word, ONIONS! Despite what appeared to be a miserable night, they unbelievably tied it at the end and dominated in OT. That's ONIONS right there!

Yes, this reluctance to shoot is like a rapidly multiplying bacteria!

Big win. Hate to be melodramatic, but we couldn't afford to drop home games to bottom half of the conference teams. Must win, and we somehow found a way to claw it out in a game when nothing seemed to go our way.

We never led until OT... incredible.

That team isn't bad. Beat Virginia, lost to UNC - the best team in the country, in my opinion - by 5 in what was a one-possession game down the stretch. A win is a win. 9 days off with the biggest game of the season coming up on Feb. 11.

ACC continues to prove out itself as a very difficult league. Take away BC and any team can beat another on any given night.

Good call - that was as big a play as any. Very good read by Cooney to track the rebound and excellent hustle to beat everyone out for it. We needed that one.
