Why don't College Goalies wear all the pads that the pros wear and more?
chin/knee/thigh/steel toe's etc,etc I remember 2 former SU Goalies wearing
Football Pants so at least why not pads inside the pants. A ego thing/rule/or
feel that it restricts movement? I did notice 1 Goalie had a hinged flap on his helmet
(Like a Catcher has) to protect the throat/Adams Apple..

I believe all goalies have to wear a helmet, chest protector and throat guard by rule. Everything else is optional and personal preference of the player. I thought pro field lacrosse was the same. Box lacrosse is the one where they look like hockey goalies. As to why sane men don't wear MORE pads... I'm not sure. Goalies are a different breed.
