Its not like the Yankees don't have other young pitchers they can look at this coming spring. I would like to see a big time third base man,either as a prospect or current take over for Headley. Jagielo if healthy will be getting more attention. A position switch for Pirela or Ackley might be worth a look.

The Yankees like to talk to the bottom feeders in both leagues. They are usually desperate for pitching and may be interested in obtaining pitching even if a bit flawed and may be willing to talk about super farm players that the Yankees can use immediately while waiting for their own farm kids rot on the vine.
