JB's Presser after Va Tech

Yes when you're trying to come back from 25 down. Look it may have gotten down to 6-8 but that lead was never challenged. And his issues are sort of epitomized by the sequence. Where are you the other 35 mpg?

The other 35 minutes? Ask coach- he played 19 minutes. A big reason was foul trouble in the first half.

as you know espn also says he only played 19. so to answer your question he was mostly on the bench.

Ugh...we're talking generally here. It's the Robey enigma. He can get 20 rebounds at Duke and get 2 against Uconn. That's why he gets yelled at. It's effort and always has been. Have you watched him all 4 years? Never noticed how in some games he drifts away? It's not just fouls.

15. Typo. iPhone. We're getting whooped.

Got it. We were down 54-39 against VA last year (remember that game?). Let's say VA hits a 3 after we cut it to a 3 pt deficit to put them up 61-55 and we just never quite get into an offensive rhythm after the big run and end up losing. Did Malachi put up 14+ second half points in garbage time? Or was there too much time left to consider that garbage time? Just trying to understand when it's garbage time.

lydon had 8 points and 5 boards in the last 2 minutes of the BC game. we trailed by 20. did that piss you off as well ?

Roberson played 13 minutes against UConn, 6 against gtown, and 7 against SJU.

We lost those games.

6-0 in games he plays 24 minutes or more. 4-7 in the games he doesn't.

He needs to play. Like I've said already countless times, foul trouble hurts him and it started last night with a bad offensive foul call.

he plays 24 minutes or more in the wins because he's playing great. in the losses he could play 38 minutes, it would still be a loss and his stat line would be 000000000.

Do you think his play in the South Carolina and Wisconsin games earned him more playing time? At the time DC was playing pretty well and Lydon was the only guy who could score against South Carolina. That was at the time when he had like 1 point and 5 rebounds in 3 games.

You mean the time when Boeheim had no idea what rotations were working and where people should play?

Roberson started at the beginning of the year. If he played well from the start he never would have been benched.

white also started at shooting guard

And it didn't work. Just like starting Frank at pg and Lydon as SF didn't work. We adjusted. Roberson would have played 25-30 minutes last night if he didn't get in foul trouble. Roberson's lack of minutes were do to whistle happy refs more than JB last night.

I don't disagree. I've trumpeted the need to play him as much as anyone. But there's clearly a reason that JB has issues with him.

trashing your own players on open mic night is classless and just cuz your favorite coach does it don't make it right.
