Can you imagine Cabinda, Franklin, and Bennett? That's a pretty good LB corps, but I think Franklin and Cabinda are both ILB guys. Franklin may be fast enough, but do you give up his brain at the Mike for a better prototype size (6'-1" 237 lbs)? To your point above, we'd also have the safety from Weehawken, or West New York or whatever (Kelly?) too if not for the restoration of scholarships.

Well he was only 3rd team so the NCAA must think the scholarship restorations were ok.

IIRC Kelley was kicked off the team without ever having played a down. He may be at UMass. He was the last guy they took with their restored scholarships and proved a luxury and lesson/opportunity for Franklin to establish a "my way or the highway" mentality
