MLAX rules committee sets agenda for upcoming year

In the next year, the committee plans to focus on consistent officiating with regard to the shot clock procedure. The 2016 season will be the first time Division I programs will be required to have a visible shot clock when an official issues a stalling warning. Division II and Division III programs will be required to have visible shot clocks by 2017.

Committee members also discussed investigating potential adjustments to the stick pocket to encourage the free dislodgement of the ball. The committee met with representatives of the manufacturing community during the NCAA championship in Philadelphia and plans to continue the discussion.
