(SIAP) The Twittersphere seems to indicate that Carter Sanderson has transferred from Lipscomb & will presumably walk-on this year. 6'1'' 170 lbs with 1 year of eligibilty left. Played in 25/29 games (0 starts) & averaged 14 MPG & 5.3 PPG. His father Scott was Lipscomb's HC for 14 seasons before resigning in April 2013. His grandfather Winfrey was HC at Alabama from 1981-1992 and was SEC COY in '87, '89' & '90 & National COY in '87.

I bet he wants to coach some day. Syracuse is a great place to get your start in the business...

The fabled "Wimp" Sanderson. Worked as an advertisement for plaid jackets.

PG minutes in a pinch?

I'd rather have Cooney and G bring the ball up like last season. Once the ball was in Cooney's hands he got it up the court pretty quickly. Or they would pass it back and fourth to get past the faster guards.

I wouldn't unless their handle has significantly improved. Any time they got hounded last year it was a bad offensive possession or a turnover.

Folks, let's back down a little. This is Lipscomb he is transferring from and not Duke. He may be a good practice squad player but he won't be getting time in the conference.

Having a second actual point guard to run the offense in practice is worth it, even if he never sees much game action.
