This is the 9th annual CvC event in Albany. Coach JAB was honored at the very first one and other coaches such as Bobby Cremins, Steve Lavin, Jamie Dixon and George Karl have also been honored. This year they are honoring Jim Calhoun. Sounds like the committee hit a home run.

The Capital Region will be coming together on Wednesday, September 24 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy for our 9th Annual Coaches vs. Cancer Basket Ball. The Coaches vs. Cancer Basket Ball unites sports lovers and community leaders as one team in the fight against cancer. We are proud to honor Hall of Fame coach Jim Calhoun with our Fighting Spirit Award and Union College men’s hockey coach Rick Bennett with our community-based Inspiration Award.
Purchase your honorary committee tickets by July 27 to have your name or company name listed in the event invitation! Honorary tickets include a VIP ticket the event, your name listed in the event program, as well as admission to a special VIP reception with our 2014 honorees.
