I just tried to post a picture of my newfoundland puppy

I tried a .jpeg first and it said file was too big for the server

So I saved the pic as a reduced size .pdf and again it said it was too big to load

That is about the extent of my ability

Any ideas or suggestions ??

I've got this and works for me when I have this issue.
  • Make a copy of the file so you have the original.
  • Right click on the file and select Edit. Should open in Paint.
  • Drop the size down to 50%. There is a resize mechanism in Paint.
  • Save As jpg. If still too big? Try again but Save As gif. It will be small enough by then.
  • If not, pm me, we'll get it straightened out. ;)

And do not use smaller size pdf option, probably still too much bandwidth for the site to upload.

Its either too big or too small, you are probably going to have to resize it.

It's a bug in the script. What works for me is to do a screen capture of the picture you want, then crop to the size you want, and save.

For whatever reason, this seems to work.

A preview. Not the OP's puppy, but probably a reasonable facsimile.

Great dogs...I'd love to own one.

Thanks Tee...never knew about the resize option

I posted Stella's picture on the pet thread.....maybe I'll get a like or 2
She is damn cute, and Bevo...she looked just like that a very short time ago :)

Growing up in York pa we had St Bernard's, guess I still like Big Dogs

Thanks again Tee for the help
