Grandview jumped out to a 21-3 lead open drives of 80, 75 and 61 yards. Cumberlands then mounted a comeback behind DeAngelo Jordan, who ran for 128 yards and Adam Craig, who ran for 94. They closed the gap to 17-21 and kept it that way with a goal line stand just before halftime. The third quarter was scoreless but Grand View took advantage of a muffed punt to push it to 28-17 early in the fourth quarter. The Patriots went on a 10 play 63 yard drive with Craig going over from the 1. A two point conversion failed. The Vikings responded by going 56 yards in only 5 plays, one a 43 yard pass from Derek Fulton to Brady Roland that set up a one yard plunge by Fulton for the clinching touchdown. Fulton passed for 300 yards and four scores and ran for 74 yards and the other touchdown. Grand View, which has only been playing football for six years, rushed for 129 yards and passed for 300 while Cumberlands rushed for 309 but could only pass for 60.
