Cascade/Maverik Media Poll: Denver Back to No. 1

Denver is back on top of the Cascade/Maverik Media Poll.

The Pioneers took care of business against Providence this weekend, and combined with previous No. 1 Notre Dame's loss at North Carolina, earn the top nod with 21 of 28 first-place votes.

The Pioneers previously were No. 1 in Weeks 5 and 6 after being close in voting with Notre Dame for the early part of the season.

Brown is No. 2 after dominating Cornell and clinching homefield advantage in the Ivy League Tournament. The Bears get a taste of the ACC, facing off against Virginia in Georgia this weekend.

Maryland moves up after a week in which it beat both Navy and Ohio State. Big Ten foe Rutgers rises to No. 17 after its win against Penn State, and Bryant enters this week's poll at No. 20.
