I said in another thread that had we won MTSU, we would have been 26-30 in receiving votes category. But looking at this poll, we would have been ranked #24 or #25 with our only two losses being to top 25 teams on the road and our win against a Top 10 team. Would have been nice to end that unranked streak.

It's obvious that Vegas, coaches and the writer's believe it's a fluke. Probably expect us to have a letdown like we did last year after beating VPI.

It's obvious that Vegas, coaches and the writer's believe it's a fluke. Probably expect us to have a letdown like we did last year after beating VPI.

the difference to me, is that we looked like the better team vs clemson. Va tech was 2 quick sucker scorese and hold on.

We forced 0 TO's
Had a borderline at best call reverse a TD to go up 21-7
Gave 2 long TD runs that the running back ran completely untouched
Had a 3rd adn 31 RB give extra effort for a 5th yard fumble and scoop and score untouched
1 trick play that was beat from the beginning of the play
Our Oline created lots of push on almost every running play
We knocked their starting qb out and destroyed the backup on a blitz or 2
We outgained them by over 120 yards. we outrushed them we out threw them.
we hadelthe ball far longer
we converted 3rd downs. they did not convert 3rd downs
We led/tied the entire game

Thats not a recipe for an upset. Thats the better team (at least for 1 night) winning the game. The only thing that went our way that we didnt create were the 2 missed FG's. All things being equal, the only surprising part of the score is that we didnt win by double digits.
